Loved the book, a great author who is new to me, will be listening to more of her books. This is the story of a young woman from a very wealthy family who prefers to live an ordinary life, marries an ordinary man and doesn't want any money from her filthy rich father. This book is a psychological thriller and it certainly lives up to that. So well written with incredible detail, fabulous style. This is a book to enjoy again and again.

The lovely author of this book gave it to me as a freebie. I tried to listen, I think I made one hour. Dear lord, such trash it made me wince. I am so sorry for this bad review but it truly was a pain to listen to. My motto, if at first you dont succeed then try try again. Well done for giving writing a go :) If I told you my diary reads more interestingly than this would you believe me?

Could bear listen to a moment longer than ten minutes. A huge failure for this author in my own opinion, I am so sorry for having to be honest here.... but if anyone could listen to this very poor, utterly boring drivel for more than 10 minutes - I applaud you, Sorry to labour the point - I could write a better than listen than this in my sleep. At least people try and that has to be a good thing of course. Dont call me.. Ill call you ;)

Loved it! Will listen again, Super story of how the caste system is in India. It will make you cry. Detailed and wonderfully written. What a lovely story, very believable and utterly compelling. I must have more of this author. The narration was as perfect as one could want, I adored the characters, I got to know them, I felt their pain, fear and sadness. I felt their happiness at the smallest things. A truly great book which will take anyone to a different culture to ours, feel it, experience it and it leaves you with a need to want to help these poor people. I loved the main character, a strong woman, a determined woman and one who really does have a heart of gold. Just such a fabulous listen... this book will make you listen to the next chapter when you feel you should sleep lol. Thank you to this great author.

Having read "The Family Upstairs" and utterly loving every single moment of it, I had to hear more from this author. I chose "I found You" because it looked like one of the author's "other" best books. It's a good listen in many respects, and it is a good story line. A stranger sitting on a beach in the pouring rain. A kindly caring young and single mother of three, always looking for the love of her life feels for him and invites him to stay at her modest home close by where he can stay in a studio/comfortable shed type place she has at the bottom of her garden. She is an artist of sorts who creates pretty things from maps (?). Who would want such a thing, I can't say, but people do and she makes a very reasonable living from her craft. Must be a damned good living considering she has her own home and three children to keep I think. Rather unrealistic to me. The young man on the beach has lost his memory, and I did enjoy hearing his childhood history of his family's annual holiday to the beautiful quaint cottage by the sea. I won't give much more away. I will say this, it was a pleasant book to listen to or read, but lacked real motivation to see what happened next. It wasn't predictable but it was just weak in so many ways. Nothing in the book really grabbed me, nothing was totally a shock etc etc. It was a good just a nice listen. This lady is a very good author, and I must say I like her style... but all in all, wouldn't be a top favourite.

Fabulously written, huge praise to the author. Narration utterly brilliant. The book was difficult to understand for me. We have a very good story here but at times it was very hard to understand the main character. It's a book I shall read again.

What a fabulous book. What I loved was the fact it was set in Chelsea, and at a time when I myself spent a lot of time in the Kings Road. I just loved this, so unthinkable and yet these things DO happen! The characters are well descrbed so we can get a visualisation of exactly how they look. I won't give anything away here.. the book was great and I highly recommend. Two wealthy people buy the most beautiful house in Chelsea, happy little family, mum's German, a bit of a socialite. Dad's a high earner. Two children, nice little lifestyle. Suddenly, their nice life changes .. Seems okay at first but just see what happens over the months and years. Loved it, the narration was great and I'll read again very soon :)

A beautiful listen. This writer's descriptions are utterly beautiful, no other word for it. It's a lovely story of a well off Indian family. I loved it but often had to listen to chapters again as there were so many characters and sometimes I couldn't quite follow the story.

What a great story, one of those that you can't stop listening to. Keeps you in suspense. Interesting characters, good narration and no nonsense to the point writing. I can't believe this is this man's first book - so good. I hope he writes another soon. The murder of a much loved husband by his artist wife. She's in a psychiatric hospital and has not spoken a word since the murder. Enter a new psychotherapist. I won't say any more... don't want to give anything away. A must listen book :)

The book was beautifully narrated and I loved the the tone of the reader's voice. The book was a bit of disappointment for me. It was one of Richard & Judy's highly recommended books so I expected it to be superb. The writing was perfect and there were wonderful descriptions. I loved the era - 1600's - Story for me was slightly weak and a bit slow. Story of a girl who has not been able to produce a child. Love the main character, she's gritty and fearless. Women who were alleged to be witches - very common at that time. There were no big shocks or much excitement in this book... I felt there was room for so much more. It was a good story but not great. Happy ending which was nice.
