The first but not only problem with this book is the narrator constantly sucking her throat pausing for huge breaths and turning the page so loudly that you think your holding the actual book
If you get past this and continue to listen the problems of the over privileged come shining though
She and the people she mixes with are so far removed from the Reality of a normal person’s life she doesn’t understand it’s not normal
Her description of her behaviour as a mother is shocking and only slightly made better by her treatment of her children as adults
Her name dropping to make herself sound sooooo important is incredible annoying I don’t need to hear the full name of the celebrity and all of there relations every time she needs to bring up one of her fabulous connections which she does every other page
She doesn’t seam to realise that with out her job as a servant she would have just been a nobody with an eccentric bad mannered husband
Who only got away with what was appalling behaviour in polite society because of her job
I persevered right to the end of the book so that anyone reading this review wouldn’t waste a credit on it

Not a book I would normally buy but I felt like trying something different I’m so glad I did
Narrating it herself the Author draws you in to her world so you feel every emotion as she leads you along her story
You totally understand why she got taken in and she keeps you hooked by not revealing how it turns out and who she is till the end
At points I found myself very emotional and wanting to rescue her from the terrible situation she finds herself in
Well worth the credit well written and beautiful read

I enjoyed this book once I got use to the Narrator who’s voice is a little annoying to start with
Great story easy to follow the ending is a little predictable but it’s a good enough story that the ending being predictable won’t bother you to much
It’s not in the same league as The horse whisperer
It’s a light holiday or winter afternoon read

I’ve seen the film and loved it a few times so I was interested to see how the book differs
I love the book even more than the film it takes you on a magical journey that completely Absorbs you

I enjoyed this book even though it was a bit predictable in places
As the story line is built up you can see where it’s going
So no surprise twists
But it’s still an enjoyable book that I looked forward to listening to each day
It’s also a very interesting book as the story builds on the two different men’s paths in life
I would recommend

I enjoyed this book the story line was good
But it could have been great the book wastes time with a side story that adds nothing to the book I can’t help but think that the book would have been great if the time spent wasted was used to fill out the Main storyline

Really good story line I really enjoyed listening to this book
But the ending is a little disappointing it feels like it was unfinished and ended in the middle of a chapter
Other than that it was a great book

If you have a interest in extreme sports this is a good listen
You will find yourself questioning what you would do to reach your summit
Would you could you abandon your morals for that moment of glory

It’s does get a little hard to follow and the Narrator is not the easiest of people to listen to
But overall I would recommend this book if the subject is one that your interested in

I’d seen the film star dust and loved it so I took a gamble on this I’m so glad I did
This is Fantasy at its best extremely good storyline brilliant characters that you want to hold onto
You will want this book to never end
Having the Author read it gives it a very real feel which will leave you wondering if you should pay more attention to that rat or the things in the corner of your vision
You will not be disappointed in this book
