Writer tells very well all the thoughts and emotions of the main character. The story feels somewhat unusual because of many things, but those actually happens to people sometimes. I can't put it to the words how somewhat special the settings were, but all the details, twists, emotions, everything made the story thrilling!

This is the way I like K. L. Slater to write books.

Very movie-like with great voice actors, music and sound effects. Lots of surprises and twists.

Thus far the most underwhelming of the series

K. L. Slater writes good stuff, mostly. This one was boring, unexciting and unthrilling throughout. It wasn't because of the performance, she did great job of the material she was given.

The story starts boringly and at least half of the story was explaining how and why the main character moved to the apartment. psychological-thriller was nonexisting and forcefully put out.

It was weird how I knew the ending or so-called twist, very early and I wasn't mislead at all! Almost like telling the ending and rest of the book is the story how to get there.

Amazing story and storytelling!

I've been listening K. L. Slater's books for a while now. I didn't knew her books before and the first one got me hooked right away. She has the certain style of writing and specific pattern she uses in her stories. I like that. Every story I've listened she got me hooked quickly and The Mistake is one of those books, as well.

The story starts well and all characters comes familiar easily. The storyteller is STUNNING of reading this stuff. It lits the light to the story and made me really believe those characters were real. I have a habit of diving into the stories little too much and literally began to like or hate certain characters. In The Mistake there's one evil character that I literally HATED, I can imagine these kind of people actually existing. My personal experiences have impact of how I take certain characters and situations and in this story there's many things that hit too close and I could feel the pain.

Few times when the main character did something or went somewhere I was like "No! What're doing!!" Especially in the end part I wondered few situations and how realistically someone would act like that, realizing that probably none. I think the end part went quickly, when I wanted it to be more slow and grippling, making listeners thrilled. But overall this whole package is AMAZING!

K. L. Slater is one of my favourite authors, definitely. I'm gonna listed all of her books :]

The story begins wildly and how the fungus starts to spread was told with great detail. How the fungus took over people with all possible disgusting ways was gross to imagine. I love this book and this author became my favourite. I now have to read all his other books :]

The all three stories were great to listen and the characters had good and quirky personalities. The plot was well-written and well-thought. I hated Basheeba (spelling?) in beginning, but grew to like her and the attitude she had. She's insanely amazing.

This is such nostalgic story and movie. Audiobook was scary and well made. I only seen the movie couple times, but could easily imagine the surroundings and happenings.
