Sometimes it is the narrator that makes the story. And this one did, even the different voices were authentic, unlike some that think they are being clever. The story has a good plot, plausible characters and didn't lose its way through the various sub plots. This is the Nora Roberts story I love listening to.

Cussler & Brick, what a combination. One can certainly write a good tale and the other can bring the book alive. On to the next one.

I really did not expect this audio to stop when it did. It seemed as if it was half finished.

Listened to Ruby in the Smoke, on the recommendation of my daughter (who had read the book as a child) this book is brilliant. Did dip a bit in the middle, but soon picked itself back up!
Highly recommended.

The storyline absolutely brilliant, but the narrator nearly killed it. Persevere you'll not be disappointed

the synopsis is completely different to the story.

synopsis says a boy . the story is about a girl!!! Maybe no difference. Will listen to the end, if only to hear that "the boy" had turned up!!

Based on the synopsis I bought this book. However, once downloaded I find it is a totally different story, based in a totally different country and Jack's sidekick, well, he's not the same either.
Confused?? I am.

You know you are reading a book of pure fiction however, once you start reading from chapter one you are drawn into the book and carried along for the ride. Like a bystander, watching. You are almost side by side with all the characters until the end..
So, now you know how the story goes, you still want to go back to chapter one and start ove.
