It was a good book, let down by a terrible narrator. I would definitely think twice about buying another book narrated by Charlie Sanderson!

Alan Cumming grew up in the grip of a man who held his family hostage, someone who meted out violence with a frightening ease, who waged a silent war with himself that sometimes spilled over onto everyone around him. That man was Alan's father, Alex Cumming. Alex was the dark, enigmatic heart of Cumming family life. But he was not the only mystery. Alan's maternal grandfather, Tommy Darling, had disappeared to the Far East after the Second World War.

Three sisters, one birthday, one little problem... The three Kettle sisters have had a mortifying mishap. Their raucous, champagne-soaked birthday dinner has come to an abrupt end following a violent argument and an emergency dash to the hospital. So who started it this time? Was it angry, hurt Cat, still recovering from the 'night of the spaghetti'? Was it Lyn, so serenely successful, at least on the outside? Or was it quirky, dreamy Gemma, the sister who can't keep a secret except for the most important one of all?

I had to listen to the prologue about 3 times before I could fully understand what was going on! It may have been easier to follow in the physical book.

Found the narrators voice too grating and annoying, there was no difference between any of the characters

What was most disappointing about Agatha Christie’s story?

I couldn't finish it. I couldn't engage with lead characters, just didn't hold my attention for long enough

Any additional comments?

I may give it another go at some point............or maybe not!

Over dinner, a record begins to play, and the voice of an unseen host accuses each person of hiding a guilty secret. That evening, former reckless driver Tony Marston is found murdered by a deadly dose of cyanide. The tension escalates as the survivors realise the killer is not only among them but is preparing to strike again...and again.

Would you consider the audio edition of And Then There Were None to be better than the print version?

Definitely, Hugh Fraser narrates the story beautifully and brings the characters to life

Who was your favorite character and why?

I love the very prim & proper Miss Emily Brent just purely for her overly high moral principles

Which character – as performed by Hugh Fraser – was your favourite?

Again, Miss Brent. He always made her sound so indignant and you could actually visualise her nose stuck in the air!

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Already been done, so probably couldn't improve on the original

Well hello to you dear audiobook browser. Now I have your attention it would be rude if I didn't tell you a little about my literary feast. So, here is the thing: is it just me or does anyone else find that adulthood offers no refuge from the unexpected horrors, peculiar lack of physical coordination and sometimes unexplained nudity, that accompanied childhood and adolescence? I am proud to say I have a wealth of awkward experiences - from school days to life as an office temp - and here I offer my 18-year-old self (and I hope you, too, dear listener) some much needed caution and guidance on how to navigate life's rocky path.
