This publisher's pack contains Sanctuary (book 5) and Rebellion (book 6) of the After It Happened series. Set in the UK in the immediate aftermath of a mysterious illness that swept the country and left millions dead, the series follows the trials facing a reluctant hero, Dan, and the group he forms around him. They must battle the elements, find sufficient supplies and equipment to survive, and protect themselves against the most destructive force on the planet: other people.

There were a few things that I disliked about this audiobook. The most being the narrator as he brought very little to the production. With the main characters, there were barely any differences in their tones and it made it a difficult listen trying to figure out who was talking at which point. My second most disliked aspect was the story itself. It screamed teenage romance the whole way through and honestly, it sucked.

Story is still interesting but it's just a shame about the narrator really. I can't help but compare him to other narrators who are easily more talented.

For eons, conquering dungeons has been the most efficient way to become a strong adventurer. Although not everything is as straightforward as it seems. Several questions have always plagued the minds of those who enter these mythical places of power: why are there so many monsters? Where do the amazing weaponry and heavy gold coins come from? Why does the very air fill with life-giving energies? Cal has all of the answers to these age-old questions, for a very simple reason. He is a Dungeon Heart.

Love the idea behind this story as it's unique but it was painful to listen to. I think it was a mix of the writing style mixed with the narrator's voice. Very little range to his voice so, most characters sounded the same or didn't suit the description of a character. At times, it seemed very childish and I felt like I was listening to a children's story.

Even with these cons - I'll listen to the next book in the series and hopefully it'll be a little better.

This series is incredible. When the new narrator started a while back, I became hesitant but he has proved to be twice as good as the original narrator.

The biggest plus to this series is the laughs that come with it and the character development throughout.

I wish these would be released a little faster!!

I'll probably have to listen to them all from the start again just to rekindle my love for this series.

I recommend this to anyone with common sense.
