I didn't enjoy this book half as much as I did the tent, the bucket and me. As another reviewer mentioned, the constant change of volume was irritating and nearly made me give up listening to it. One minute her voice is so low you can barely hear it, the next it is booming in an over the top dramatic style.

Lovely stuff!

I found this a great book. Funny as well as heartwarming. Loved all her family and Emmas dad deserves a medal for putting up with her mum!! Emma is a great story teller and writer. My only minor gripe was the overkill of their first encounter with the french cotage owner. Went needlessly on for so long I ended up fast forwarding. Other than that it was highlt enjoyable and I will definitely look into her other books now.

One of the best books I've ever read

Absolutely brilliant book. Khalil gives us a no holds barred look at addiction in every way. I went through every emotion reading this book. It really drew me in and was narrated beautifully.

As an everlong fan of Sue Townsends wonderful writing and the brilliant Adrian Mole diaries, I was pleased to have the audio book. The narrator does a great job and leads the story well. My frustration and disappointment with this audio book though, is it has missed so much out. I did not realise with it being an anniversary edition this would be the case, and should have been stated clearly by audible. It really lacks the rest of the warmth and humour with the missing passages. I did still enjoy it, but as I know the book so well I could tell obviously were the missing passages had been left out.
