This is the third Roy Grace book Iha e listened to and the third narrator I have had to listen to....a little consistency please!!
Having said that, another enjoyable book from Mr James that is highly recommended.

I'm not much for reviews but this book by Peter James is the best book that I have listened to for some considerable time.
Read by Hugh Bonneville, it's hard to find any negatives.
Brilliant story wonderfully read
'nuff said!!

I have never read any Peter James books before but happened across this as it was recommended to me by Audible.
I'm a sucker for a horror/haunted house story so gave it a try and I'm so glad that I did.
The book had me gripped from the very start. The story is wonderful and the characters very engaging.
I'm not going to give anything away except to say it's written in the manner of a traditional ghost story.
My first foray into the world of Peter James and definitely not my last.
The BEST book that I have listened to for a very long time. Extremely well written and narrated. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Having said that I'm sure that officianados of AC will enjoy it immensely.

I really wanted to like this book but unfortunately I found the story really hard going.
In all honesty I only finished it out of my stubborn streak coming out.
The narrator wasn't great with certain accents shifting between Irish and Geordie in the same sentence.
Not for me unfortunately.

I thoroughly enjoyed both the story and narration of Mr. Brandreth.
Reminiscent of old Sherlock Holmes and Charles Dickens novels.
Recommended.

Lived this book. A great follow up to the Mercedes trilogy.
Nice to meet up with some characters from those books too.
Great story brilliantly read by my favourite narrator, Will Patton.
Quality throughout and recommended.

My first DF novel. I have been aware of this book fir some time and it has been in my wish lust fir months.
I finally took the plunge and I'm so glad that i did.
The reading is wonderful and tbe story unfolds at an unhurried pace.
You cant help but love the Battles family and find yourself hoping that things start to go well for them.
Recommend....tick!
