I love this author and have listened to lots of her books but this one is quite slow and anti climatic which I found quite gutting. Don't get me wrong, I really like the characters and their development but I just feel like nothing that shocking happens in this book. In a way it keeps you guessing but there's not much for you to guess.

A simple premise that gets much deeper and more intricate. It's well thought out and just makes the heart melt. Very satisfied with the ending. Definitely worth a read or a listen.

It seems like this book is very much designed to set the scene. Not an epic amount happens but you get to know the characters. I enjoyed the story and look forward to where it's going. Peter Kenny is brilliant. Definitely recommend this book.

It's a fairly solid self help type book that goes really personal for the author but in a really strong way that makes it relatable. You just can't judge someone's story just by looking at them. I really like that it was the author who read her own book because you can really feel the emotion she has when talking about her own life. Insightful and positive.

The characters link well together. Some outcomes were predictable and some not. I really enjoyed the story and it was nice how it so connected on a human level. Certainly makes you think about the choices you make in life.

This story plays on the heart strings of 'will they, won't they' the entire way through. The concept of how much influence some people can have over others can be mind boggling but completely ordinary and normal at the same time. A gentle read/listen that keeps your heart open for the characters and wants to see them succeed.

I'm not really sure how to describe this book. It's, clever and individual and baffling at the same time. It's an alternate fictional history that I think many people couldn't stomach if it was fact. An interesting outlook on humankind and a brilliant story. Definitely one that needs to be read/listened to for a different perspective.

A real insight into a life where running was the answer to an unknown question. Listening to this book makes you feel. I'd say whether you're a runner or not, or feeling like you have imposter syndrome (particularly about running) then this is a really good listen/read because it's real life and feels open but raw in a good way.
