Featuring Inspector Dreyfus - one of Alastair Reynolds' most popular characters - this is a fast-paced SF crime story, combining a futuristic setting with a gripping tale of technology, revolution and revenge. One citizen died a fortnight ago. Two a week ago. Four died yesterday...and unless the cause can be found - and stopped - within the next four months, everyone will be dead. If this book wasn’t for you, who do you think might enjoy it more?

This is one of the worst books I ever listened to, I managed to get a couple of hours into it but it felt as though it brain was being grated.

What was most disappointing about Anne Rice and Christopher Rice ’s story?

Didn't flow and the reader made it irritating,

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I think it was the rhythm of speech

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Ramses the Damned: The Passion of Cleopatra?

Send back to author...

Now the kingdom's only hope is the discovery of a new form of magic - one that will call the wondrous beasts of the world to fight by the side of humankind. In the start of a thrilling new series, the New York Times best-selling author of The Iron Druid Chronicles creates an unforgettable fantasy world of warring giants and elemental magic.
