I know this story is old but it is just tediously boring not quite as bad as Moby Dick but it is rubbish. I listen to Jules Verne and I think it is brilliant but not this. an abridged version would probably be ok and as for further versions and films, they are much easier to stomach

Maybe a little slow to start......

I really love listening this book. It took me a while to get into it I thought it was a bit slow within the first few chapters but I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it and I will be listening to the next two books...... Fantastic.!!!

16 hours is a long time to listen then realise this book is not for me.... I really don't need to know the whole ins and outs of a couple of days in 1882.....
Time travel using the mind.... rubbish concept,. and the fact a woman from 1882 can do it so easily.....
I don't know maybe because it was wrote in 1970 .?????
Anyway still not as tedious as Moby Dick ( unabridged)

I will never download a book again even if it comes in the top 10 books of all time if it is over about 10-14 hours it was just too long it just went on and on and on I'm proud of myself for sticking with it.
I do not read much at all but this last year I have listened to all sorts of book and I am really enjoying Audible..!
I loved 20000 leagues....but Most Dick is just too long unnecessarily too long!!!!
Unfortunately I can't recommend it.
