In a powerful new vision, Dr. Brené Brown challenges everything we think we know about vulnerability and dispels the widely accepted myth that it's a weakness. She argues that, in truth, vulnerability is strength, and when we shut ourselves off from vulnerability - from revealing our true selves - we distance ourselves from the experiences that bring purpose and meaning to our lives.

'Daring greatly' challenges us to have the courage to see ourselves in our human development; to be open and challenge our world views; to be vulnerable and recognise this as a strength worth cultivating in our pursuit of joyful living.

On The Power of Vulnerability, Dr. Brown offers an invitation and a promise - that when we dare to drop the armor that protects us from feeling vulnerable, we open ourselves to the experiences that bring purpose and meaning to our lives. Here she dispels the cultural myth that vulnerability is weakness and reveals that it is, in truth, our most accurate measure of courage.

Arthur is a chauffeur who is intellectually gifted. Jonathan is no less bright than Arthur, equally hard-working, yet a billionaire. So why is Jonathan in the back seat of the limousine and Arthur in the front? What explains the difference between success and failure? Joachim de Posada found the answer in a Stanford University study of children who were able to delay gratification by not eating a marshmallow with the promise of receiving another one if they resisted eating the first for 15 minutes.

I've been following Phil Town for a year now and my financial awareness has certainly increased, but Danielle captures the seesaw of emotions, concerns and fears that go through my mind and body when thinking about investing.

I so resonate with 'I don't do numbers' and therefore it was great to hear how Danielle worked through this roadblock belief herself.

I think all young people should have access to this book in school and college and it should be part of the maths and business curriculums, to help raise awareness of how to make money work for you and to help people get over the fear of buying shares on your own.

Excellent listening/read and I liked hearing the author speak it as it conveyed her authenticity.

Thank you Danielle and Phil for sharing.

Out of nowhere, like a fresh breeze in a marketplace crowded with advice on what to believe, comes Byron Katie and what she calls "The Work". In the midst of a normal life, Katie became increasingly depressed. Then one morning, she woke up in a state of absolute joy, filled with the realization of how her own suffering had ended. The freedom of that realization has never left her, and now, in Loving What Is, you can discover the same freedom through The Work.

Rich Woman is an audiobook on investing for women. Why an investment book written just for women? There's a very good reason. The how-to's of investing; how to buy and sell a stock or how to find a profitable rental property are the same for men and women. What's different are the unique issues that women face when it comes to money and investing.

Something for everyone no matter where your starting point in life is.
I could relate to some aspect of each woman's story and it reinforced the importance of the concept that whatever you want in life there is a process, the journey, to follow that is more important than the end point.
Thank you for sharing your wisdom.
