"Forge alliances. Gain powers. Save the realm." In the realm of Valion, a war is fought between the vile demons of the under-realm and the mighty scions, mystical beings with the power to wield super-human abilities. It is a war that turns cities to ash, that leaves the very land itself ravaged and uninhabitable.... The scions fought valiantly, but even with their powers they were no match for the demonic horde. With the realm in ruin and no one to oppose them, Valion’s dark forces set their sights on a new world...Earth.

How does one review the first book of a series which have not been written yet?
This is a whole new genre for me so I listen to this audiobook twice to understand it whole and if it wasn’t for a great narration twice probably wouldn’t have been enough.
So about the audiobook, it’s the first and got the potential to become a great series, so I hope.
The author Darren Hultberg Jr chose well picking Sean Duregger to narrate this book, perfectly done narration each character sounded just right bringing life to them all.

I truly see no reason why not to recommend this audiobook,
So I am recommending!!!

And now I’m waiting for the series to keep going, and I am hoping that it will be sooner rather then later.

In exchange for an honest review I’ve received this audiobook.

Tom Kendall had been with the 32nd Precinct, New York Police Department, for just under 10 years. But now he wanted a change. Now he wanted to start his own private detective agency. He had grand ideas. He wasn’t interested in just any old case. Oh no, he would handle only the big-time cases, the expensive ones. He would be able to take his pick, the ones that he wanted, where the stakes were high and so were the rewards. He knew exactly the kind of case that he wanted. Anything else would not do, and it would just be turned down flat.

Now we know how Kendall became a private detective.
John Holt the author is excellent in creating believable personalities, just like detective Kendall a lazy one but somehow always gets to the truth and never gets paid because of it.
As usual the choosing of Kolyn Marshall was a good one, he is a great narrator perfect voice for each character.

I enjoyed every audiobook from the author John Holt that’s for sure so it’s absolutely no problem for me to recommend his books, I do believe that all will also enjoy them as much as I did.

Earth Two is a world beset by dangers, inside and out. Its genetic groupings, the cloned “Tanks”, the “Natural Borns”, and the hybrid “Mules” exist uneasily, each wary of the others, even as they rally to face the deadly threat of the First Imperium’s robot warriors. President Max Harmon and his inner circle have played an elaborate game of chess for 12 years, a deadly battle of wits with the genocidal alien intelligence known as the Regent. They have moved fleets, spread deceptions, built decoy planets...all to hide Earth Two’s location, to protect it from the deadly onslaught of the enemy.

The author Jay Allan totally disappointed me with this series, I mean it was ok but things just didn’t fit, like book 4 which was a waste there was no story in it only war not even one twist.
And book 5 which I couldn’t wait for totally disappointed me, I was waiting for the grand finally and in a way it was ok but when a series is over all should be addressed and done with but not here so much left unanswered.
Me I’m disappointed, others might like it the way it is but I can’t fully recommend this series only half way.

Earth Two. A new home for the survivors of the fleet, the men and women who battled against seemingly insurmountable odds to survive the assault of the First Imperium and to destroy the homicidal Regent, the artificial intelligence committed to their destruction. They have prospered in the years since their arrival, adapting the technology of the First Imperium to build a new and prosperous republic. But as the fear of the First Imperium recedes, cracks have begun to appear, conflicts looming that threaten to destroy all they have worked to achieve.

This forth audiobook of the series felt like 10 hours of waist.
This whole audiobook could have done in three hours, it could have been added to the last book of the series, it kind of felt like that the author tried to push an extra audiobook on us for no other reason but profit.
I hope that I’m wrong because now that I’m moving to the last audiobook of this series I’m hoping for a great ending the famous Jay Allan kind of ending which give you a total satisfaction.

I must recommend this book if you already finished the first 3 books of this series but I recommend with reservations.

Across the bottom of the screen the ticker tape announced in large black letters 'Governor Reynolds Murdered'. Apparently his body had been discovered earlier that morning, lying in his garage. He had been shot twice. One shot to the upper chest, the other hitting his shoulder. 'Police believe that the weapon used was a 38 revolver,' the reporter said. Kendall froze. Anthony Shaw had also been killed by a 38 calibre bullet. Kendall was not quite sure of what it all meant. What connection was there between Anthony Shaw, and the State Governor, and the business mogul, Ian Duncan. And what about Senator Mackenzie? Where did he fit in? And who or what was Latimer?

In fact I wouldn’t be surprised at all with all the corruption in this world that this story or stories similar to this have happened many many times!
And as usual choosing Steve Campbell for narration was an excellent choice, he aced it!

This audiobook is absolutely fully recommended for all.

John Holt have taught me so much, truly he can take any subject and make out of it an excellent story.
History was the worst subject for me at school, if I got C- or even D I was happy.
Today I know that it’s all about the teacher, if John Holt was my history teacher I would have brought home an A easily, he makes everything so interesting it’s amazing.
Just from this one book I’ve learned so much about the American Civil War and enjoyed every moment of it.
They say that every generation have a great story teller, well John Holt is this generation story teller easily !
John J. Irwin was an excellent choice for narrating this audiobook.

Fritz Marschall knew that neither he, nor his friend, should really have been there. They, like many others before them, had been attracted to the lake by the many rumors that had been circulating. He thought of the endless stories there had been, of treasures sunken in or buried around the lake. He recalled the stories of the lake being used to develop torpedoes and rockets during the war. Looking out across the dark water, he wondered what secrets were hidden beneath the surface.

I’ve heard of Jay Allan along time ago so I kept getting his audiobooks but I never had the time to listen to any of them because i review new audiobooks for many authors and there are new once always coming out.
Any way I’ve decided to take a break and listen to audiobooks that I chose which was fun but new audiobooks for reviews keep coming in so I’m thinking that every 10th book I’ll listen to one of mine.

About Into the Darkness I got absolutely nothing bad to say, Jay Allan is a great author without a doubt !
And to think that this is the first of a five books series, so much went on in this first one that I can’t even imagine what kind of surprises are waiting for me at the next four, truly a master writer!

Fully recommended.
