It’s only a slight exaggeration to say that the British mathematician Alan Turing (1912-1954) saved the Allies from the Nazis, invented the computer and artificial intelligence, and anticipated gay liberation by decades--all before his suicide at age forty-one. This classic biography of the founder of computer science, reissued on the centenary of his birth with a substantial new preface by the author, is the definitive account of an extraordinary mind and life.

Contrary to recent reviews, I thought the latest version was quite a good listen.
From the first moments I was gripped by the narration and how the narrator described the characters and settings.
I think due to the success of the films, peoples expectations are very different once they read/listen to the book.

Fresh from Afghanistan, James Bond has been recruited to a new agency. It operates independent of Five, Six and the MoD, with its very existence deniable. Its aim: to protect the Realm, by any means necessary. The Night Action alert calls Bond from dinner with a beautiful woman. GCHQ has decrypted an electronic whisper about an attack scheduled for later in the week. And 007 has been given carte blanche to do whatever it takes to fulfil his mission.

Although I found this audio book started off slow, the pace did pick up and eventually and I was gripped from then on.

I was tempted to abandon this but the first chapter tries to set the scene and mood for the rest of the book and does so in a classical style, which isn't my usual taste. However, if you stick with it, you may be pleasantly surprised.

I love this audio book. It gives accounts of daily rituals which most of the population undertake and the obstacles that prevent us from achieving our potential. With practical advice and reasoning, and through repetitive actions, we can become so more efficient within our daily lives.
If you can learn how to anticipate your thought process and remove the habitual processes that prevent positive thoughts coming through, you can achieve so much more!
Great stuff!

This, like many earworms learning audio products is very easy to understand and learn.
Through repetition and light NLP, I was able to quickly pick up phrases, even after one run through, which is about the right length of time for beginners. You'll understand pronunciations and how to ask questions such as directions, order drinks and food, and general help; great for first timers where the pace is also just right; not too fast or too slow.
