Gripping and packed with twists and turns, this stunning thriller will make you question whether we can ever really trust the ones we love.... What if your whole life was based on lies? When Joe Lynch stumbles across his wife driving into a hotel car park while she's supposed to be at work, he's intrigued enough to follow her in. And when he witnesses her in an angry altercation with family friend Ben, he knows he ought to intervene.

I like to use Audible books to drift off to sleep, even action stories help but this one didn't .
I was grabbed at the start and have lost sleep.
I use the timer so I dont lose my place, i just kept resetting it.
The story is well read, the different characters are easily identifiable and the pace is well measured.
I challenge you to listen to this and not be absorb.

Captain Keyes is loved by the public but hated by Command. He captains the UHS Providence, an aging supercarrier and the last human ship not dependent on dark tech - technology humanity has used to rule over the galaxy since barely defeating the Ixa in the First Galactic War.

If the next two books are as good then this will be an excellent triolgy.

As with most narrated books it has taken me quite a few goes to finish it, I find them quite soporific.

The story is well told and the characterisation is great.

No doubt the next two will follow, though I have several other titles to listen to first.

A migrant boat battles through the rough Mediterranean. Its passengers are desperate, starving and scared. They are also being ruthlessly targeted by the SAS. Islamic State militants are smuggling themselves into Europe using these boats. Only by locating such men before they make it into the UK can the Regiment stop them committing their acts of terror on British soil.

Would have given 5 stars across the board but the language is a bit extreme in places. I know its gritty realism but too much!
it would also seem that despite Mr Ryan having fought for Queen and Country he holds our Royal Family in some disdain. it wasn't The Queen that sent Mr Ryan to war it was the government of the day.
