First got this book as an abridged audio CD set, but after I started using audible got the full version.

Terry Pratchett's discworld series is on the best group of books I own. Though normally, I am of the stance that "if it isn't vimes, then I won't bother", this changed my mind and opened up the whole series for me.

Loved this book, was a fun ride from start to finish.

Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

no review needed. Read the book before the film comes out. An excellent tale that rollercoasters you through a gripping story. Mark Watney is my kinda hero.

I have listen to this twice now this month. The story is writen as if from a diary. Very well writen. I think this would be better if read from a book rather than in audio form. If you enjoyed this i would recommend "We're alive!" a full cast zombie production. But I cant wait until the next installment
