One of those books that I think are even better on audible. I was blown away by the performances I believed every moment and found myself getting emotional near the end.

I cannot rate this book more highly 5 stars all the way

I loved this book because the voyage of discovery felt genuine and real in a modern world and I liked all the people in it made me smile and afterward sit down with my eyes shut and count the breath

There is no doubt this book is well written and the descriptions about tangier evocative but for me that’s all.
Every single character without exception was dislikable and so there is no one to root for no one to feel attached to just frustration.
I did like the last few lines that draw you back to the beginning and it made me long for Moroccan food.

Emotionally in and once in I couldn’t avoid this book.
I had so many emotions at times I had to pause to take a moment maybe one of those books harder to listen to than to read.
But wow I’m glad I did I pushed myself and I hoped all would end well and then with the twist.
Simply brilliant

I’d read the papers, various interviews I knew I’d like the book especially as read by its author I just wasn’t sure how I’d feel about it.
Well overall I liked her sometimes she talks like she’s had a bit to much introspection and therapy but I think definitely at time of writing she told her truth. I am certain this will change because Lilly is still a young woman and there is so much more. I hope that she navigates the future for her children and finds the positive in all her experiences.
Bottom line I’m glad I heard this book and I’d recommend.

I downloaded this because I loved “everything is lies” this far surpassed even that great book. I normally get twists and turns but I didn’t see this one coming. I liked the main character and I loved the ending. Helen Callaghan I hope your busy writing your next book!

If you’d asked me rate this book an hour or 2 in it would have been a 1 star because I disliked the characters so much but as the story develops I grew to if not always like to understand. The story ties together really well some bits I got before they were revealed and some not but all in all a very clever if sad in places book

This book was so far from what I thought and in the beginning I didn’t think I would get to the end but such a clever story and brilliant narration. I implore all to give it a go and prepare for a good read
