So, this is me. Lily Allen. I am a woman. I am a mother. I was a wife. I drink. I have taken drugs. I have loved and been let down. I am a success and a failure. I am a songwriter. I am a singer. I am all these things and more. When women share their stories, loudly and clearly and honestly, things begin to change - for the better. This is my story.

When Dig Ryan bumps into his first love, Deliliah, after 12 years, he realises that he still fancies her rotten. Nadine has been Dig's best friend for the last 15 years and has only just realised that she's in love with him. Delilah was her nemesis at school, and it turns out that she still is. When she resurfaces, Nadine finds herself feeling extremely jealous. So she resorts to extremely childish things, like phoning her first love, Phil, just to get her own back.

When nine-year-old Liesel arrives outside the boxlike house of her new foster parents at 33 Himmel Street, she refuses to get out of the car. Liesel has been separated from her parents, "Kommunists", forever, and at the burial of her little brother, she steals a gravedigger's instruction manual, which she can't read. It is the beginning of her illustrious career.

Takes a while, but grows on you until your wearing it like your favourite old jumper..easily in my top five books, i don't write reviews but felt I had to here..laughed and actualy cried, I also learned many German cusses which I have happily absorbed into my own daily use. A shame it ended. Lisle, Rudi, Papa and Mama are up there with Scout, Jem and Atticus.
