Disappointing

Gave up during Chapter 3. Found the sing song style of narration irritating and the portrayal of the protagonist tedious. Only bought as I enjoyed Hawkmaiden and Hawklady by the same author - both brilliantly narrated by Finty Williams.

On the whole the narrator's attempt at male voices was not very successful and became tedious.

A brilliant emotional rollercoaster of a St Mary's adventure. Whatever next can't arrive too soon.

Dreary old style narration unfolded an uninteresting plot and charactisation. Poor choice on my part.

Thoroughly enjoy Jodi Taylor's knack of extending suspense and leaving the reader wondering. However, very disappointed, even if part of the mind games, that the narrator made Cage sound like an aged aunt more at home in Borsetshire.

Sadly, can't think of any positives to describe this meandering nonsensical rambling 'collection'. 1 enforced star is too high.

Takes gullibility to the limit. Insipid polt and wearying characterisation compounded by mediocre narration. Nothing to recommend.

Huge treat to be back at St Mary's listening to the machinations of Markham and Max. Loved it and looking forward to the next instalment :)

No matter how many times I listen to this wonderful series I always notice small delightful details I've forgotten about. Stephen Fry's truly splendid narration takes the tale of Harry Potter to another level.

Found the narration didn*t hold my interest and stopped me engaging with the plot. Bought as an offer - a mistake on my part.
