This book brings it back to basics in such an effective way. The narration by the author is superb and this is definitely one of my favourite personal development books now. The advice is brilliant whether you’re a writer or entrepreneur and more. Huge thanks to the author for this valuable book

Really really good. Really really sad. Really really wake up Britain...

Such a good book, so funny but overall so bloody sad. Everyone should read this book and instead of just saying ‘oh the NHS is great and then voting for it to be destroyed anyway they should seriously think about what life would be like without it. Everyone including myself should take actual steps to help keep it going. It needs improving no doubt but we have to stop being so entitled and grow up fast. Adam Kay has done an amazing thing with this book I just hope and pray it makes enough of a difference

My first Stephen King read and I enjoyed it.

This is my first Stephen King book and I have to say it wasn’t as good as I expected. For me there were too many boring sections where I lost interest. If I had to summarise the book I’d struggle which is a shame as I feel it’s very good if you like that sort of thing. Being King it is really well written and has some brilliant bits that would be great in a film adaptation. For me I just felt there was more potential there for a more chilling and thought provoking story

I absolutely loved this book. For me it never got boring. Just great.

What a brilliant book on writing. Whether you’re new to writing or experienced this will surely give you a lot to think about and huge inspiration. King’s own personal stories are so interesting and brilliantly told as well as hilarious in some places. His narration is perfect as you might expect. Highly recommended even if you’re not into writing at all

A bit of a slow burner for me but well worth the listen

I wasn’t sure what to expect and there isn’t much that new here but that doesn’t matter. This is a worth while read if you want to improve your life and achieve your goals. Hal Elrod is an inspiration

It might have been the wrong time for me to read this book but I just didn’t get into it in the same way I do other personal development books. Having said that it does have some very useful tips which I am very grateful for as I’m convinced they will be very useful for me. I think 4 stars is fair as it was certainly good but not perhaps superb

I don’t think you can beat Brian Tracy’s books if you are passionate about personal development

There’s something about the old school style and character of people such as Brian Tracy and Jim Rohn that makes them unbeatable. I really enjoy listening to them and the advice they give is timeless. This is a superb book

I had read a few less than favourable reviews so wasn’t sure what to expect from this one but what I found was a nicely original, dark but relevant book that should be read by possibly everyone if we are to stand a chance of improving our society. I disagree with some of the newspaper reviews and see them as trying to make some fairly silly points. The message as far as I can tell is ‘think about things, don’t underestimate human nature but don’t become so distrusting that you make things even worse.’ Great book

Just like the malformed looking bodybuilder obsessed with size over all else, growth in business isn’t always the most desirable or sustainable route. Becoming successful should be about becoming enough as a person not greedily grabbing at as much money as you possibly can. This book gives some great insight into why staying small just might be the best thing you ever did for your business and overall happiness. Great book

There were times I found myself switching off a little bit but I put that down to my lack of knowledge of Marcus Aurelius and this type of history in general. This meant I wasn’t sure what were his words or the authors at times. I will do a bit of research and go back over the bits I wasn’t sure of as I’ll enjoy it more with more clarity. The last chapter on death was lovely to listen to and quite emotive. I will listen to this chapter as a sort of meditation and way to gain perspective as it was superb. Overall a great book
