Lee Child constantly over explains everything. why use 5 words when 50 will do! The story drags along and makes no real sense. I'm done with Jack Reacher. the last few books have been truly awful.

if you can't do a decent Irish accent, don't.

This book was going along fine until the narrator decided to give the main character (Dempsey), the single worst faux Irish accent I have heard in my life. Think Leo's South African twang in Blood Diamond and your about on par with this tragic effort.
I honestly don't understand why they do this regardless if the narrative calls for it. It took me completely out of the story and made me want to scream.
I now find this book unlistenable and can't be arsed with the remaining volumes in the series either.

I enjoyed the story, interesting protagonist, some times he's a bit sappy a goody goody for the sake of being portrayed as virtuous. apart from that I really got into the story and have done all 6 books, the pacing is great and the narrator is excellent.

pretty good.

seriously, of all the talented voice actors in this world, how did this woman land this gig?? Ace Ventura's talking arse could do a better job. such a disappointing audio take on a decent series. think Marilyn Monroe having a stroke. just terrible narration.

most annoying voice of all time.

I really enjoyed reading this book a year or so ago. I decided to download the audible narration for my daily commute. I should have downloaded the sample first as the narrator has possibly the single most annoying voice of all time. Think Elmer Fudd crossed with Hunny Bunny from Pulp Fiction and you're almost there. I turned it off and deleted the book from my phone inside of 10 minutes. just an awful narration of a pretty good novel.

another good book from J B Turner. enjoyable and pretty well written with out being spectacular.
easy listening, although I do believe the narrator could sometimes use more intonation in his voice, as he can be a bit monotone.
