Dr. Mikhail “Misha” Budnikov takes one look at fellow fencer Ryan O’Connor and instantly knows his type. The undisciplined hothead is all ego with no finesse and even less control. In short, Misha’s pet peeves personified. To put the arrogant kid in check, Misha challenges him to a sparring match, which he predictably wins. Not so predictably, Ryan asks him to be a mentor and show him how to fence. Startled by the moment of humility, Misha agrees. What begins as fencing lessons becomes something much hotter, and before they know it, Misha is giving Ryan an entirely different kind of education. Dominance, submission, pain, pleasure—at the hands of an older, experienced man, a whole new world is opening up for Ryan.

I haven't read the book, so this reviews is based on the audio book I listened to. I absolutely loved this story, and Michael Ferraiuolo does a wonderful job of narrating this book, I loved the voice he used for Misha, it was so smooth and very sexy too!!

When Misha and Ryan first meet, it is the total opposite of love, I think they both dislike each other immensely. However, Misha agrees to train Ryan, and then the more time they spend together, it is like they both realise that the other is putting up a front for everyone to see.

Once this barrier is down, the two seem to get along well, and then Misha is showing Ryan a different side that not many people know about.... his dominant side. Ryan has never known anything like this, but you could really tell that Ryan really was a submissive, and this seemed to be the only time that he could relax, and just let everything go that was stressing him.

Misha and Ryan grow closer, but there is one thing that Ryan doesn't believe in, and that is love. You soon find out why this is the reason, and boy will you get the feels for Ryan. He really doesn't seem to know what love means, he only has his very dysfuntional family as a guide.

Is there any way that Misha can break through the barriers that Ryan has erected, and can he prove to Ryan that loves does indeed exist, but not how he knows it? If Misha doesn't get through the barriers, then he will undoubtedly lose the submissive who means to much to him.

Everyone approaches BDSM in their own way. Brothers Garrett, Brent, Grant, and Bryce are no different. While each are involved in the BDSM scene in some way, what they want varies. Dominants, submissives, and switches, get to know them as they find love and explore who they are and what they need.

If you are someone looking for hardcore BDSM, then this set isn't for you. I wasn't looking for that, and I totally loved this box set.

The boxset is about four brothers, who all are into BDSM, but most definitely not in the same way. Each wanted something different, and I think this is what I loved the most - not all wanted to be doms, some wanted to be subs or even a dom/sub. It also showed the differences there are within BDSM.

Garrett - he was looking for a sub, and unbeknown to him, he had a sub visiting his office at work all the time, but he was oblivious to it all !! Wyatt just doesn't know what to do to make Garrett aware of him, and it was funny at times when Garretts brothers and co-workers would say something to him about Wyatt, and you could see he was totally clueless! They were the perfect match, Wyatt wanted someone to be his master, and to submit to them fully, and Garrett wanted someone to dominate - oh boy, when things began to happen, get ready to fan yourself.

Not Brent is so different to Garrett, he actually wants someone to submit to, and he knows who he wants to submit to, but how does he tell him - especially as it is a co-worker Kayland. He is also so afraid of losing the close friendship they have, and what he doesn't know is that Kayland is attracted to him, but like Brent he doesn't want to lose their friendship. Now enter the brothers, who decide that something must be done, and they do it - much to the displeasure of both Brent and Kayland.

The next story about Grant I really did love. I love stories that are about men who like to look feminine, and that was Carter. Carter it seemed, could not find a dom that would accept he liked to dress feminine - until he met Grant. As soon as Grant saw Carter he was totally smitten with him, and he loved how Carter dressed - but he just needed to make sure that Carter knew he loved this side of him.

Now Bryce is the only brother that likes to be a dom, but also need to be a sub sometimes too. He has not found anyone, but while at the club, he was another dom Troy with his sub Oliver and was strangely drawn to them both. Bryce assumes that as Troy and Oliver are already a couple, that all he can have is to watch their scenes, and nothing else. However, Bryce is totally wrong about this, as they have been looking for a third and they know Bryce will fit the bill. It does take some persuading with Bryce for him to finally accept what they say is true, as Bryce is convinced he will be the reason for the couple to split - nothing could be further from the truth.

I listened to this series over a few days, and even if I hadn't been listening for a couple of days, it was easy to get straight back into the story. I have only listened to one Kenneth Obi narration before, but I will most definitely been looking out for more by him - he did a brilliant job of all the voices on the audio. It was so easy to know who was talking, and he has the sort of voice that just draws you into the story.

This is one audio that I can listen to again, I enjoyed that much.

Wow!! I have recently read the book, but jumped at the chance to listen to the audio (I will add here that I listened to a sample and decided to try the audio, which isn't always the case, I have other books I would love to have on audio, but the narrators voice just doesn't pull me in) - Michael Ferraiuolo is a narrator that I have heard of, but that I hadn't really listened to. Well, his voices on this audio were superb, and I loved how he did the voice of Rosen. I hope that he narrates the next book in the series too, as he was outstanding on this one.

I must also admit that I don't have a look of books or audio by Leta Blake, but this book was really good. I loved it that the omega mc was older than the alpha mc. For me it made a refreshing change to be this way around.

I think the reason I enjoyed this so much, was that it wasn't a chat and then into bed. You were with Jason all the time as he was trying to court Vale, and you were with Jason and Vale through all the ups and downs.

The book was emotional at times, and I have to say the audio has captured it perfectly, I was listening at times with tears in my eyes, that narration was that great.

Oh wow!! If you have read the book, then I would say get the audio too, it is one of the most incredible audios I have listened to this year - be warned, you will need tissues with this one, even more so than you would have done reading the book.

James is a deeply troubled man, very complicated and to most people hard to understand. He is a confident man at work at Holden House, but it seems to be personally he has big issues, but he has learnt to hid this side of himself from everyone, especially his family. He actually comes across as believing that he is unloveable, that nobody should have to deal with him and his issues, they are his and his alone. I think a lot of this relates to how he was treated during his childhood - I have to say here, that I really wanted to reach into the audio and slap his mother!!

However, along comes Theodore, and he seems to see right through the facade that James puts up to keep people away. It wasn't the usual way to meet someone - they met in a club bathroom - but neither of them could forget the encounter, and you think the more they meet they are doing ok.

One major thing though, is that James is keeping things from Theodore, and the repercussions are devestating..... (so hard to try and cook dinner while sobbing at the audio you are listening to! Lol). Will Theodore stand by James, or will he just walk away, which is what James believes everyone should do with him..

This has got to be the most emotional audio I have ever listened to, and it is all there - Joel Leslie has totally excelled himself on this one, I honestly didn't think it would be as good as the book, but I was proved wrong big time, and I applaud Joel on his abilities to get the emotional distress through on here.

If you could sum up Femme in three words, what would they be?

Laughter, Disbelief, Thoughtful

What did you like best about this story?

It actually made me think long and hard about how people look and think about men who look Femme.

Which character – as performed by Joel Leslie – was your favourite?

I love Lionel, he was awesome and Joel Leslie did a brilliant voice for him.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I didn't listen to it all the first time, but I have listened more than once, and the second time I listened to it all.

Any additional comments?

I listened to a sample of this audio, and thought it was going to be a funny audio all the way through - but boy was I wrong about this. This is actually quite a thought provoking audio/book.

This is the first book by this author that I have read, well listened to. I have to say things happened that I really wasn't expecting. I must also say I was sitting here at times thinking... Oh no, this is not going to end well, and then the next minute I would be laughing.

I really did feel for Lionel throughout the book, he was out and proud, but at one stage to fit in with others, he was toning everything down, so he just blended in with the crowd, it seemed like if he acted and dressed his usual way, nobody would take him seriously.

Now Dog..... what do I say about him...... well, some things that I really can't say here!! He originally came across as a nice guy, but then the way he reacted to some things, and you were thinking... no, he is not really going to do that.... but he did, and then I really began to dislike him.

However, the more you listened the more you realised that Dog was scared stiff of being rejected by not only his family, but also by his so called friends in the gay softball team. The main reason for this was due to the fact Lionel is so femme, and even Lionel says that people are afraid of gay men who are femme. This really did make me sit and think about things, and realise in todays world how true this was.

Dog is surprised about what some of his softball friends actually say about Lionel, and he then realises he was thinking the same, and to me I think he then began to feel quite ashamed of what he had done. Quite right too, dates where he abandoned Lionel was just not on.

I have to say, things were looking bleak for Lionel and Dog to have any kind of relationship, but then Dog realises how special Lionel is, and now all he has to do is convince Lionel that he is serious about him, and he doesn't have to hide his femme side. Is there any way of Dog doing this??

If you love an audio where you will laugh but also get rather miffed with one of the main characters, then listen to this audio. I must congratulate Joel Leslie for another great narration on this audio, and yet again he kept me entertained the whole way through. I have actually listened to this twice already, but can guarantee that I will be listening to it again.

I am going to be totally honest here, and say I loved the book, and I wasn't sure that the audio version would hold me as much as the ebook I have - boy was I wrong about that ! I have actually listened to this about three or four times now, and for some reason it just gets better each time I listen. All the raw emotion that was within the book, is also right here on the audio. Hats off to you Joel Leslie, you were incredible on this audio. This is one audio that I will continue to listen to again and again.

Seth is slowly getting his life back together, since the horrifying event of his parents deaths. However, it seems just as he is beginning to live a more normal life, it seems like someone doesn't want him to do so. Now enter Ronan, who doesn't seem to like being anywhere near Seth - or does he??

Ronan is a total conundrum really. You have met him before, but I have to say I wasn't sure about him. He comes across as a total loner, only interacting when he has to.... but this seems to be just a facade to puts up to keep people away. Is it possible for Seth to break through this façade?

Both Ronan and Seth don't realise how much they need each other, but both have to overcome their fears to get anywhere, but that is not as easy as it seems. To me, Ronan seems to crave what Seth is offering, but is held back in painful memories.

I am not going to give away the plot of the book, but rest assured you will be gripped by this story, complete with twists and turns. You will also be drawn right into the audio with Joel Leslie, he has a way of holding you in the story – so much so that you really won’t want to stop listening!!

If you love Sloane Kennedys books and also like audio I would highly recommend this audio to add to your collection – you will not be disappointed.

If you could sum up Dom of Ages in three words, what would they be?

Hot, Inspiring and Tearjerker

What other book might you compare Dom of Ages to, and why?

The other books in the Collars and Cuffs series.

What about Joel Leslie’s performance did you like?

How he got the emotions of the characters just right. I knew there was some sad parts, but listening to the audio and the emotion brought tears to my eyes.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes I did want to keep listening, but I had to sleep!!

Any additional comments?

I have read the book, and it is by far my favourite of them all, I guess as one of the characters was older.

I think I was curious to see if the audiobook could be as good as reading the book - and boy did it. Joel Leslie just amazes me how he can manage to get the emotions just right for each of the characters. There were many voices in the book, but Joel I commend you on a wonderful job.

This story is about an older submissive, who is alone after his master dies unexpectedly, and they had been together for a long long time. After mourning his death for over 4 years, Jarod decides to try and see if he can find someone new to serve, and goes to the local BDSM club. Due to his age, he is laughed at, and basically ridiculed.

Enter Eli, who sees Jarod as the answer to his prayers, and boy does he break all the rules he should follow being a dom!

I am not going to spoil things, but once you start listening you will be hooked. I loved the book, and I loved the audio just as much, I can guarantee that this is one that I will listen to again.
