A topical, emotive, gripping and sometimes funny story about principles, friendship, strugel and the brutality of betrayal. the characters were well rounded and believable. The narration was on point and the story telling simultaneously intimate and universal. Written with a true insider perspective. I was left wanting more when it ended.

Stories about seecret agents are not my typical choice but I heard the hype about the TV series and thought I would give it a go and have not been dissapointed by the story or the narration! Looking forward to the next instalment!

The story line is gripping and the narration very emotive and engaging. It gave me a new appreciation for the layers of Greece's history. I very much recomend this book to anyone who likes a good multi generational family saga and/ or has an interest in Greek history and politics.

I am not what you would call a politically concious person but I would recommend this book to anyone regardless of their political persuasion, gender or race. I found the narration particularly important to how accessible Michelle's story was and appreciated the candor with which she has written this. It is empowering to know that the experiences of self-doubt and questioning the direction one's life is taking is as universal as all other human experiences. I am sad that my time listening has now come to an end. It will certainly be a challenge to find something this stimulating and easy to listen to.
