How to be Champion cover art

Wonderfully washed over me during a sickness. ❤️

A very funny, lighthearted listen peppered with wisdoms Sarah’s learned over the years. I’d recommend it to my daughter....if she was old enough to be suitable for all the adult language!

She espouses her love of telly because it washes over her without effort, late night, after a gig. Last week I was sick with a flu-like illness, mostly in bed. Sarah’s stories wonderfully washed over me as I lay with my eyes closed, inducing the occasional laughter-triggered coughing fits.

A feel-good listen about being an ordinary Brit-girl who’s done well for herself with hard work and, well, mostly hard work actually

Sarah’s funny reading and compassionate approach to bullies, feminism, body image, animals, marriage and career is worth a listen.
For me, worth a re-listen too, for the feel-good, encouraging element. Just not when the kids are around.

Dana K White is a very funny writer and podcast broadcaster
. Her tone is encouraging and humble. Her goals realistic and simple.

My home may never be magazine worthy, but my mind is no longer overwhelmed and anxious, which is most important.

This is not a book full of technical checklists and exhaustive plans. I think it's better for it. I'll listen to this again and again while I'm cleaning or decluttering.

I'm so glad, too that the author read the book. Her voice is lovely both here, and on her podcast.

Where there were some helpful elements to Smart's philosophy, I can't really remember much of them because I fee so frustrated with this book.

At the end of each chapter, there is a statement that additional content is available on his website. To access this, you submit an email address. I found this accessed me no meaningful additional content, but instead gained me spammy marketing emails from Smart and his business partners.

I understand that this sort of thing is common in his industry, but as someone who claims to be selling clarity (I think in reality, he is merely selling himself), filling my inbox with spam is not a very honourable way to achieve this.

I definitely would not return to this author because I believe this speaks poorly to his integrity, somewhat undermining his philosophies on living a life of clarity. Sorry.

I appreciate books being read by their own author. I felt unjudged and encouraged listening to this even though I don't feel I'm the best of parents at times.

Cowell's dragon books are getting better and I'll be sad when the saga is over. Tennant's range of regional accents is vast. Brilliantly read.
