In the 25th century, humans have conquered space. The advent of faster-than-light travel has opened up hundreds of habitable planets for colonization, and humans have exploited the virtually limitless space and resources for hundreds of years with impunity. So complacent have they become with the overabundance that armed conflict is a thing of the past, and their machines of war are obsolete and decrepit. What would happen if they were suddenly threatened by a terrifying new enemy?

Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Would you consider the audio edition of Nightshade to be better than the print version?

Cant really say as I have not read the print version. I got the first book because of its reviews and was not disappointed. Bought all of them in the end.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jack is a great character. Really likeable and engaging.

What does Paul Thornley bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

In some ways, Paul could almost be Jack and it feels like Jack is reading his own story. Paul has the same drollness in his voice that Jack has. I really liked him as a narrator.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

It would have to be something about the children paying for the sins of their fathers or 'What the hell did I do to deserve this?'

Any additional comments?

Great book, great narration. More please!

If you could sum up Magician in three words, what would they be?

Epic, epic and epic! A great book but Peter Joyce really does it justice.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Magician?

There are so many, it I difficult to choose, but Borrics death is very touching.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

Most of them. Peter Joyce is excellent and really brings the book to life. He has a wide range of accents and voice styles to keep every character an individual.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, but it is a very long book. I think you would need to lose some sleep. Hard to switch off though.

Any additional comments?

Fantastic. If you like Feist, you will love this. My only criticism is Peter's pronunciation of some names. Lee-am not Lie-am. Listen and you will understand.

What made the experience of listening to SEAL Team 13 the most enjoyable?

Great story, excellent narration.

What did you like best about this story?

It's a good story and a nice twist on the vampire story. There is plenty of scope in Evan's world for more and I will be interested to see what he comes up with next.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

The thermite grenade in the coffin. Funny!

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Made me laugh more than cry. A great story but the characters don't quite get to the point of 'friends', so that connection isn't there...yet!

Any additional comments?

A great read, well narrated. You won't be disappointed.

The world of man was brought to its knees with the zombie apocalypse. A hundred and fifty years have passed since man has clawed and climbed his way from the brink of extinction. Civilization has rebooted, man has begun to rebuild, to create communities and society. It is on this fragile new shaky ground that a threat worse than the scourge of the dead has sprung.

Would you listen to Lycan Fallout again? Why?

Yes. Most definitely. I love Mark's books. The characters are so real-life that they almost become friends. This new series, although just starting out, is no exception. It's going to be a good one.

What did you like best about this story?

Talbot! I love his irreverent outlook on life(or unlife). I usually listen to these books while travelling and there are many times when I have had to stop the car until the giggles have passed (or the misty eyes).

Which scene did you most enjoy?

BT's descendant. Won't say any more but it's really funny.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Marks books always engender a full range of emotions. When a character dies, it is like losing a real friend or if something good happens, it lifts your spirits.

Any additional comments?

Come on Mark. Let's have book two.
