When Jamie and Kirsty move into their first home together, they are full of optimism. The future, in which they plan to get married and start a family, is bright. The other residents of their building seem friendly, too, including the Newtons, a married couple who welcome them to the building with open arms. But then strange things start to happen. Dead rats are left on their doorstep. They hear disturbing noises, and much worse, in the night. After Jamie’s best friend is injured in a horrific accident, Jamie and Kirsty find themselves targeted by a campaign of terror.

A gripping story. I listen in my car so I've found myself sitting in the car outside the house having arrived home home 10 teens minutes earlier but not wanting to stop listening.

I listened to the sequel Muirwood series first, having the first in the series on a whim. I quickly became hooked and started on this series as soon as I'd finished. Really rich story and characters that you come to genuinely care about.

Danny Marin thinks the comic-book super-hero Shrinkman is the coolest! Shrinkman can shrink to the size of a bug and go places most ordinary people can’t. But when Danny suddenly starts to shrink, he finds that being small isn’t really so super. In fact, it’s terrifying. First, he’s nearly torn to pieces by his own dog. Then he’s in a fight to the death with a grasshopper! Danny had better find a way to get BIG again - or he will be a little bit gone!

Review by Jack (12), Charis(10), Sam(8) and Molly (5). We listened to this audiobook on our holidays. It's good for learning new words if you're younger. It's magic and mysterious. It has a happy ending. It was good to listen to on a long drive.

I really enjoyed this book. I struggled initially with the narrator's tone which I felt sounded quite robotic but once I got used to it it was fine. The story is very engaging and I frequently found myself at home after a car journey sitting outside to listen for just a little longer before switching off.
