The world has fallen into war. Ciri, the child of prophecy, has vanished. Hunted by friends and foes alike, she has taken on the guise of a petty bandit and lives free for the first time in her life. But the net around her is closing. Geralt, the Witcher, has assembled a group of allies determined to rescue her. Both sides of the war have sent brutal mercenaries to hunt her down. Her crimes have made her famous. There is only one place left to run. The tower of the swallow is waiting.

This book started out great, really gripping but I find it slows down mid book to my frustration.

I really like the Witcher storyline but I have found with all the books so far that sometimes the author gets too involved with dialogue about meaningless things and this just slows the story down.

Narrator is brilliant as with all the books so far!

In this eye-opening and moving memoir, Karamo reflects on his lifelong education. It comprises every adversity he has overcome as well as the lessons he has learned along the way. It is only by exploring our difficulties and having the hard conversations - with ourselves and one another - that we are able to adjust our mind-sets, heal emotionally and move forward to live our best lives.

I appreciated Karamo for his honest account of his life, there was some things that he wasn’t proud of but he goes to show the readers how any one is able to turn their lives around.

He talks about some of the difficulties people face in life but at the end of each chapter puts a positive spin on things, I felt it was a very uplifting book.

I would recommend to anyone!

The Witcher is supposed to be a guardian of the innocent, a protector of those in need, a defender against powerful and dangerous monsters that prey on men in dark times. But now that dark times have fallen upon the world, Geralt is helpless until he has recovered from his injuries. While war rages across all of the lands, the future of magic is under threat and those sorcerers who survive are determined to protect it.

This has been my favourite book so far in the series though I still need to read book 4 and 5!

This book introduces some new likeable characters with interesting back stories! You genuinely care what happens to them and want to see more of the them in the future books!

More fast paced then the previous books so it has also been the easiest to read of the series so far!

Geralt the Witcher has fought monsters and demons across the land, but even he may not be prepared for what is happening to his world. The kings and armies are manoeuvring for position, each fearing invasion from across the river, each fearing their neighbours more. Intrigue, dissent and rebellion are on all sides. The Elves and other non-humans are still suffering under decades of repression, and growing numbers join the commando units hidden deep in the forest, striking at will and then dissolving into the trees.

Narrator was excellent again!

As a child, Chris Hooper dreamed of monsters. But in deep space, he found only darkness and isolation. Then, on planet LV178, he and his fellow miners discovered a storm-scoured, sand-blasted hell - and trimonite, the hardest material known to man. When a shuttle crashes into the mining ship Marion, the miners learn that there was more than trimonite deep in the caverns. There was evil, hibernating and waiting for suitable prey.

As a massive fan of anything xenomorph related, finding this audible performance was great! More like a movie then a book, this performance has different actors for each part, sound effects and a soundtrack!

Story was pretty good as well, features Ripley, one other character from the past that I won’t spoil and new characters.

Can’t wait to listen to the next one!

For more than a hundred years humans, dwarves, gnomes and elves lived together in relative peace. Into this tumultuous time is born a child for whom the witchers of the world have been waiting.

'It is an axiom of behavioural science that vampires are territorial while cannibals range widely.' Hannibal killed nine people before he was caught. And five on his escape. Two of his victims survived - one of them is in an asylum; but the other craves revenge. Mason Verger, a paraplegic confined to a respirator since his encounter with Dr Lecter, can move only the fingers of his crippled right hand across the soft blanket that covers his lifeless body.

My first audible book and I loved it!

Great performance from Daniel Gerroll - only wish now that he read all the other Hannibal books!

Don’t be put off by Mason’s voice, you take a little while to get into it. I don’t agree with other listeners who have written that they wish they read his voice normally - I think that without Mason’s authentic voice it would ultimately of detracted from the character of Mason and wouldn’t of had the same effect on me.

Such wonderful and complex characters- I’ve always been obsessed with the character of Hannibal since I was young and watched the movies. This book however expanded on Hannibal’s character even more and made me appreciate the character even more (if that was at all possible) strange that after all Hannibal does you are still drawn to him and actually route for him throughout the book unlike Mason who is even more despicable then depicted in the films - Great writing by Harris.
