Great book, excellent characters and really well delivered. Done slightly silly decisions made by the DI but I've already downloaded the next one

A great story with believable characters. I think Tom's backstory could do with a little more fleshing out. The only downside was the odd accent used for Pet but that didn't harm my enjoyment of the book and it shouldn't put you off. Listen to it. you won't be disappointed.

You will need to concentrate to enjoy this book because there are a lot of strings to the complex story but it's worth it. Richard Coyle does a masterful job and the pace and detail in the text is terrific. Thoroughly enjoyed this one

This is an establishing novel for these characters and they were introduced gently and fleshed out expertly as their relationship formed and developed. I have already downloaded the next one in the series and I am really looking forward to further developments. Thoroughly enjoyed the story and the narration was one of the best performances I've heard.

I love the character of Evan Smoak. This plays to all his strengths and the narration is as strong as the other books. Scott Brick has a terrific style. I found myself sitting in the car listening to the end of each chapter. Didn't want it to end.

This is a really good Grey Man story; a character I love by the way. However, the lack of understanding of British accents was evident in the writing and the performance. No one from nottingham would be able to distinguish a hampshire accent from a london one or a berkshire one. Why Scottish cabbies had faux cockney accents was unexplained and the Scots dragoon guards had the weirdest accents i've heard for a long time. None of this would probably matter to anyone from outside the Uk but it really hampered my enjoyment of the book.

This is a really well crafted novel. The characters are deep and interesting and the performance was exceptional. I thoroughly enjoyed the interweaving of the characters.
