I bought this because we like Sarah and have seen her routines live and also on DVD and TV. The book is very funny and interesting to listen to her story. Not sure about the banana bread though 😂

I could not listen to this at all. I found listening a really struggle. I love it when an author reads their own book. But as I found out its not always best. Burts speaks is not great and he sounds like he has a mouth full of saliva and spitting over the microphone. He mumbles and his words all roll in to one word. Not great

Penguin presents the unabridged, downloadable audiobook edition of Spectacles, the hilarious, creative and incredibly moving memoir from much loved comedian, writer and presenter Sue Perkins. When I began writing this book, I went home to see if my mum had kept some of my stuff. What I found was that she hadn't kept some of it. She had kept all of it - every bus ticket, postcard, school report....
