I was really enjoying this book, especially as it was a free download, but was very disappointed with the end. It felt as if the book was just getting going, and then the author remembered it was only supposed to be 3 hours long, so ended it abruptly. I also felt the music that was played at the end was just odd.

I don’t think this is one of the best books in the series, but enjoyed it never the less. The narrator has a lovely speaking voice when she isn’t trying to put in an accent, which I found very difficult to listen to.

Sorry had to return

Sorry for the low rating on this book, I actually would have only given the narration a low score, not story, but it would let me leave it blank. I was really looking forward to this book, as I have loved other Linda LP books, but I couldnt stand the narrators voice. Such a shame, it appears I'm not the only one who struggled to listen to the narrator.

I did stick at this book, and enjoyed it for the most part, although I thought the characters were weak and mostly irritating. The end was abrupt and not at all plausible.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Sorry to give up, but I couldn't listen to the narrator any more!

Would you ever listen to anything by Christopher Fowler again?

Maybe with another narator

How could the performance have been better?

The character voices were just so wrong

Any additional comments?

Dont like returning books, but couldnt get on with this one.

Found this book a bit long winded to begin with, and nearly gave up on it. However, it greatly improved.

I really enjoyed The Storm Sister, but it was badly let down by the narration.

I thought the narrator was excellent, and enjoyed the story up until the last chapter. It was if the author just got fed up with it, and wanted to be finished. Twice I rewound the story, thinking I must have missed a chapter, but no. Very unsatisfactory.
