Welcome to the life of a junior doctor: 97-hour weeks, life and death decisions, a constant tsunami of bodily fluids, and the hospital parking meter earns more than you. Scribbled in secret after endless days, sleepless nights and missed weekends, Adam Kay's This is Going to Hurt provides a no-holds-barred account of his time on the NHS front line. Hilarious, horrifying and heartbreaking, this diary is everything you wanted to know - and more than a few things you didn't - about life on and off the hospital ward.

Great listen, well read, funny, somewhat heartbreaking too. kept me entertained + awake on long car journeys. Makes me appreciate junior doctors +what they go through to get up the ladder.

The hotly anticipated next novel from number-one best-selling author David Walliams, with audio hilariously read by the author himself! Jack's Grandpa wears his slippers to the supermarket, serves up Spam à la Custard for dinner, and often doesn't remember Jack's name. But he can still take to the skies in a speeding Spitfire and save the day.

my kids had read the book so we downloaded it for long car journeys, it was brilliant great, fun story of alzheimers & the affects it can have on the family especially kids. that keeping the dream or memories alive can help the person relive their adventures yet let the child know what that person was really like before getting the disease. well read by David Walliams. definitely recommend it!
