I struggled wuth this one. Usually the sex contributes to the story but this is just gratuitous. Completely lost the sense of the story. Pity because the whole plot surrounding the rescue of a small boy could have been very interesting. I always look forward to Feet and books. This is just formulaic.

My name's Cesar Hawke. I'm a witch working for a division of the government you've never heard about. The world's not what everyone thinks it is - unless you think that our world's a pawn in a game of chess between Heaven and Hell, and riddled with as much magic and wonder as it is with evil. In that case, the world is exactly what you think. My place of employment - the Office of Preternatural Affairs - takes a modern approach to an ages-old problem.

I love Jo Beverley's books and have eagerly awaited each new release over the years. I was saddened at her death last year and looked forward to reading this book, particularly as its her last. what a pity then that it is to put it finely just awful. The first chapter was good and the heroine looked as if she was going to become an interesting character. The H also looked interesting but what a disappointment. Both characters were shallow and wooden without the least spark. This whole book is so lacking in the wit and charm that is characteristic of Jo Beverley that I wonder if having been started by Jo, it was finished by someone else. This is such a disappointment but at least I have her other books to remember her by.

One second life was normal, and the next for Ella Leighton, not so much. A social media maven who made her living saving sea turtles, the decision to join a reality TV show was a good one for the cause. But for her...the adjustment wasn't easy. Her publicist used phrases like online personality. An overnight celebrity. Everyone explained that was why she couldn't shake the feeling. But none of their excuses could explain the letters. The pictures. And then her stalker crossed the line.

I love the Titan series and eagerly await each new release. What a disappointment then to buy Bishop's Queen and not get the enjoyment either from the characters or the plot itself. Ella is a pain, a major pain. She seems totally one dimensional. Bishop comes across as purely confused and misdirected. Jeffrey Kafer, as ever, is wonderful. Indeed if it wasn't for his talented narration I wouldn't have hesitated to return the book. This makes me disinclined to buy the next Titan installment

This is a great read. Each of the four books in the series deals with one of four sea faring brothers. While each book is complete in itself, the plot is ongoing throughout all the books. Luckily this is Staphanie Laurens at her best. Otherwise it would be quite annoying having to read all four books in order to reach a satisfactory conclusion. Great way for an author to ensure all the books in a series are read.
