Slower paced than the orphan series and took a bit of getting into but worth it. Loved the 2 main characters Mike and Shep and hated William and Dodge just you are meant to. Great narrative too .

Do you need my help? It was always the first question he asked. They called him when they had nowhere else to turn. Raised and trained as part of a top-secret programme, he was sent to the worst places in the world to do things his government denied any knowledge of. Then he broke with the programme and disappeared. But now someone's on his tail. Someone who knows he was once known simply as Orphan X.

An intelligent but selfish heroine who puts her own future before a kidnapped baby and work colleagues. However frustrated I was at the unlikely situation, repeatedly wondering why the multiple escape routes were not taken, I stuck with it and didn’t guess the who the lifelong abuser was.

Enjoyable but predictable. Interesting to see how TG physically describes her characters which are different to the TV series

The Other Woman by debut author Sandie Jones is a gripping psychological thriller, perfect for fans of Michelle Frances' The Girlfriend and B A Paris' Behind Closed Doors. There's nothing that this mother wouldn't do for her son.... Emily thinks Adam's perfect: the man she always hoped but never thought she'd meet. But lurking in the shadows is a rival, a woman who shares a deep bond with the man she loves. A mother whose love for her son knows no bounds.

I almost gave up 5 mins in but persevered with the first very weak hook into the story happening in chapter 3. Now at chapter 23 but can't do any more, female lead Emily is the most irritating, paranoid and submissive character which left me wanting to scream at her that she was causing all the misinterpretations herself and without these misinterpretations there really us no story.
