Firstly, it’s so fantastic to read about guys in my age bracket falling in love, most writers think we’re dead by now! Bravo Jay! This was a great tale about a getting your second chance with your first crush and was beautifully written. Both characters were fully developed and I was captivated from the start. Nate and Jack had both struggled in their lives, I liked the fact that this book didn’t gloss over that fact. The guys deserved their happily ever after and I ended this listen with a smile on my face. Hamish Long is a lovely narrator, I’ll definitely be looking him up to see who else he narrates for. A well recommended Listen.

I haven’t read any of the previous books in this series, so god help my bank account as I’m going back to the beginning! You don’t really need to have listened to the rest prior to listening to this one, I didn’t feel i missed too much by not having done - that said, I want to! Enemies to Lovers, second chances, forced proximity, terrible communication all add together to make an enjoyable story. Parker and Jamie have tons of history and plenty of issues to wade through - getting snowed in gives them the ideal opportunity. I think there’s more of a backstory for them in the previous books but I need to hear them to find out. Michael Pauley, of course, was fantastic narrating. He’s a definite favourite of mine and he sucks you in to a story from the first few minutes.

So Brilliant, loved it!

Just cracking! I loved this book, probably even more than Rule Breaker. It’s the second book in this series but you don’t need to have listened to the first prior to listening to this although you do get brief appearances from characters you know. There’s plenty of fun to be had here and also lots of sweet moments. I fell for all the characters, even Billy - Amazing for a miserable sod like me who doesn’t like kids 😜 Joel Leslie is fab again, his character voices are amazing and his comedy timing is spot on. Highly recommend.

Which means that Beth Bolden is a great writer! If an author gets me to the stage that I actually want to do physical harm to a character, it pretty much means they’re believable. I loved Wyatt, I could even forgive him for letting Ryan treat him like a fool as he was such a nice bloke! Ryan, on the other hand was a very frustrating chap to say the least. I understand the way Wyatt felt about him but I’d have smacked him in the face! I enjoyed the narration, I would listen to more of Wyatt Bakers work.

I’ve enjoyed all the listens in this series, Piper Scott is a great story teller and a fantastic World builder. I’m sad it’s the last book but I really enjoyed the relationship between Marshall and Oli. They’re great, well developed characters - Oli was great fun. As always in a Piper Scott book, you’re taken through the full range of emotions in this story. The chemistry that happens when these two meet was steaming hot so make sure you’re in a well ventilated room when you listen! Michael Pauley is brilliant, he’s a truly wonderful narrator. He could read the phone book and his voices would still blow me away!

This book was a brilliantly fun and HOT, seriously HOT HOT, listen. The story is told from Nate’s point of view, we saw the relationship with Eric grow from just hook ups to to definitely deeper feelings. The sex is scorching and plentiful and there’s not too much drama. It’s fab that these six episodes have been bundled together, makes for a good length listen. Kirt Graves is really good, he turned this from a good read into a brilliant listen.

Just a wonderful, heart aching, healing and beautiful story. Piper Scott is just fabulous at writing tales that make you bleed and then heal you in a soul deep way. We’ve met Gabriel before in this series so I was eagerly awaiting his story. It’s harsh in parts, Piper Scott doesn’t shy away from the serious stuff so be aware and bring a few tissues. It’s also a true love story and shows the lengths that people go to to heal another. Michael Pauley’s narration is second to none - I feel every heartbreak listening to him. A very well matched narrator for Piper Scott’s writing. Lovely ❤️

I’ve said before, and just to keep repeating myself, I’ve loved this series. It’s great that different Authors have written around the town of Hidden Creek, it’s lead me to some writers I may never have tried otherwise. I enjoy E Davies’ writing and so was thrilled to get to listen to this. It was great to revisit a character we met earlier on in the series and whom I didn’t like so much before. As it’s titled though, it was Chad’s chance for redemption, he changed hugely in this book. I loved Jasper and Chad by the end of this book, there’s plenty of back and forth but they get their HEA. Russo is, as always, fantastic. There’s plenty of humour and feels in this book and he hits the nail on the head with all the emotion. A great end to this series.

So, I’m loving this series so much I think I’ll start looking for a property in Hidden Creek! I’ve said before, I love the fact that I’m meeting new Authors with this series, J Hayden Bailey being one of them. All these books are set in the same fictional town but I think can be read in any order. The wonderful Nick Russo just gets better and better, his different character voices are so good and I feel the emotions when he’s reading. This book was sweet, fun and slightly frustrating in parts - mainly due to Charlie’s ongoing apologies! Charlie grew so much in this book and it was great to see him grow in confidence. Todd and Charlie are like chalk and cheese but baking brings them together, it’s a great escape for Todd from his own issues. I really enjoyed this book, it made me grin! Of course, I was starving for most of the book with a huge urge to run out and bake (or at least visit the Bakery in Marks...) 😂

My favourite so far....

This series just gets better and better! One of my favourite kind of story is the ‘fake boyfriend’ and this one was great. Due to some pretty horrible bullying Jason tells a bit of a fib that turns into a pretty hot relationship with Channing. It’s fab to see Channing help Jason’s confidence and overcome his fears. Plenty of emotions here so brace yourself! HJ Welch is a fairly new author to me and I’d definitely seek out more of this authors books. Nick J Russo was perfect, as usual! I’m a huge fan of his narration.
