Artist's daughter Penelope Keeling can look back on a full and varied life: a Bohemian childhood in London and Cornwall, an unhappy wartime marriage, and the one man she truly loved. She has brought up three children - and learned to accept them as they are. Yet she is far too energetic and independent to settle sweetly into pensioned-off old age.

I love this story so much - Rosamunde Pilcher is so good at setting the scene, making you feel as if you are actually there. The characters are believable and varied, all the threads of the story from wartime to recently brilliantly coming together. I’ve read this many times but it’s even better with audible narration - the narrator has the perfect voice for this book.
Highly recommended - you will love it!

What a story - a young girl disappears, then her remains turn up many years later. Her best friend is asked to return to the village to help her brother find out the truth - but what the truth turns out to be is nothing like I imagined. Told partly in the present and partly in flashback, it had me gripped from very early on and the ending was a fabulous twist. Narration is very good.

Wow what a story! I usually hesitate to read or listen to anything that's as hyped up as this was, but in this case it's worth all the hype. It had me hooked from the beginning to the end - first I thought it was one person, then another. I felt Emma's joy, pain, frustration, anger and eventual happiness. I wanted to hug Aidan, to shake him, to shout at him.
If you like a good thriller that keeps you guessing til the end, you'll love this.

Wow what a story! After reading the complete saga of the Mitchells and the Butlers, it was only right that the end of the story should involve both families. Kimberley Chambers tied the stories together really well, some shocks but it ended the only way it could. I felt like I was reunited with people I'd got to know and it's a shame the story has ended.
Well done to Annie Aldington, fab narration. Love the way she got all the voices and the expression in her voice was fantastic.

A powerful, blazingly honest memoir: the story of an 1100-mile solo hike that broke down a young woman reeling from catastrophe and built her back up again. At 22, Cheryl Strayed thought she had lost everything. After her mother's death, her family scattered and her own marriage was destroyed. Four years later, with nothing more to lose, she decided to hike the Pacific Crest Trail from the Mojave Desert through California and Oregon to Washington State - alone. She had no experience as a long-distance hiker, and the trail was little more than an idea: vague, outlandish, and full of promise.
