I enjoyed this story although at times it was a little slow. There were many threads and it seemed they tied together at times then came apart. Overall a good book and the narrator was excellent.

A woman’s account of living with Alzheimer’s. What a book, made me laugh and cry. Gave me a better understanding of this awful condition and how I can help people living with it. Everyone should read or listen to this book.

Fantastic book. I knew before the end of the first chapter I was going to enjoy this. Loved the way each chapter was from a different person’s perspective, introducing each character and seeing how their lives intertwined. I felt Kate’s pain, Grisella’s excitement and later anxiety, Sally’s hurt and loved how their stories all came together. I never wanted it to end!

A great exploration of what happens when you lose 10 years of your memory. Alice discovers she’s a totally different person to who she thought she was. Everything has changed, and it’s frightening at first but gradually she turns it around and life improves. Lost a star for the horrible grating voice of the narrator, but if you can get past that, an enjoyable book.

I was a bit undecided about this but so glad I gave it a try. Loved the way each chapter was told from a different person’s point of view and gradually more things were revealed. Narration generally very good, although the voice that sounded constantly like she was going to cry did grate a bit. Brilliant twist in the end, didn’t see that coming!

Great story, I loved the way it kept jumping from then to now - it would raise a question and then answer it. And what questions! All based around a house that was pristine - no clutter, only essential possessions and loads of rules about living there. I didn’t see the twist coming in the end - wow!
Gripping and highly recommended.

I love this story so much - Rosamunde Pilcher is so good at setting the scene, making you feel as if you are actually there. The characters are believable and varied, all the threads of the story from wartime to recently brilliantly coming together. I’ve read this many times but it’s even better with audible narration - the narrator has the perfect voice for this book.
Highly recommended - you will love it!

Loved this story, nice simple story about 3 girls brought up and trained as dancers and actresses. Lots of different threads and good attention to detail. Narrator was good, sounded right for this book.

Loves this book from start to finish. Some sad times, some happy. Great to follow the stories of everyone and see how the stories developed and intertwined. Lovely ending. Narrator really good, lovely voice.
Highly recommended for anyone who has listened to the previous books.
