I love this family but I adore Cletus from his original dislike of being blackmailed through his reluctant liking of Jennifer and finally his overwhelming love for her. The reading was excellent but I admit to enjoying Chris' rendering of Cletus the most, just how I imagined him sounding.

More than a decade ago, Roman Calder had a scorching affair with the sister of one of his best friends. Augustine Spencer drove him so crazy he thought of nothing but her. The only thing they did more often than heat the sheets was fight. Unprepared for the intensity of their relationship, Roman broke things off and concentrated on things that made sense to him: his career and putting his best friend, Zack Hayes, in the White House. Contains mature themes.

After reading and rereading all of the Master and Mercenaries books I have decided that in spite of my love of Ian and Charlie I adore Damon and Penny, he is so damaged and so scared of loving Penny but incapable of not loving her, the part where he declares that he will "date" her and have a vanilla relationship thinking she cannot handle a D/s one is so moving.

When I heard the first book read by Ryan West I was not that impressed but the more I heard the more I liked him and his reading of the opening chapter had tears running down my face. I would have given 5 stars for the performance but his Scottish accent was not good going from Scottish to Irish and something I couldn't place and I didn't give 5 stars for the story because Theo, at times, was too self pitying unlike Robert who I really liked. Looking forward to his book.
