I was not aware that there were 7 books when I started this book ...

Th story is very entertaining BUT I was frustrated at the end of the book as something was missing ... the I learned that I have to read another 6 books on this story to finish this book .. which I personally do nit like ...

I like when a book is complete in itself ..

this is the reason why I give only one star as overall as I felt cheated ...
and NO I didn't buy the follow up books

Crazy Rich Asians is the outrageously funny debut novel about three super-rich, pedigreed Chinese families and the gossip, backbiting, and scheming that occurs when the heir to one of the most massive fortunes in Asia brings home his ABC (American-born Chinese) girlfriend to the wedding of the season. When Rachel Chu agrees to spend the summer in Singapore with her boyfriend, Nicholas Young, she envisions a humble family home, long drives to explore the island, and quality time with the man she might one day marry.

Wentworth is today a crumbling and forgotten palace in Yorkshire. Yet just 100 years ago it was the ancestral pile of the Fitzwilliams' - an aristocratic clan whose home and life were fuelled by coal mining. This is the story of their spectacular decline: of inheritance fights; rumours of a changeling and of lunacy; philandering earls; illicit love; war heroism: a tragic connection to the Kennedys'; violent deaths: mining poverty and squalor; and a class war that literally ripped apart the local landscape.

From our funniest writer, a portrait of our most talked-about royal. She made John Lennon blush and Marlon Brando clam up. She cold-shouldered Princess Diana and humiliated Elizabeth Taylor. Andy Warhol photographed her. Jack Nicholson offered her cocaine. Gore Vidal revered her. John Fowles hoped to keep her as his sex slave. Dudley Moore propositioned her. Francis Bacon heckled her. Peter Sellers was in love with her. For Pablo Picasso, she was the object of sexual fantasy.

it is a shame that with her background, money and position she hasn't left a legacy of people behind who would praise her as a human being ...

the book is interesting - especially as the older generation. recalls all the news clips and scandals written up in the press - but this books fills in some more insight ...

Unfortunately this book simply confirmed what friends, acquaintances etc always confirmed when talking about Princess Margaret.
