Everything written so simply that a complete novice teacher will get a tonne of material from this book.
I am an experienced teacher but I still found lots of new ideas in this well narrated audio book.
I will be taking notes on the second listening and afterwards moving on to more books in this series.
Pleased to have found this series!

If I had read a version of this book I'd be very complimentary about it but unfortunately I listened to an audio version.
The narrator has good diction and reads adequately but alas her performance sounds as it was recorded in an empty warehouse and it has not been edited.... hence the listener is treated to hear the narrator stumble over passages; she gets lost many times; goes vague and then finds her place and continues or she repeats lines; she hiccups or burps at one point; she regularly stumbles and repeats herself 2 and 3 times during reading; she clears her throat; rolls her tongue after it gets twisted and even swears twice at one point as she gets frustrated at her errors.
I'm sure all good narrators have these issues but the difference is that they are edited out of the finished product so the listener gets a quality product. In the case of this audio book I found the content got overshadowed by my my being more interested in counting each time she repeated herself "would she get up to 4 repeats or was 3 going to be her limit?"
Shame really as the author has written a high quality product it was just seriously compromised in my opinion by the quality of the audio production.

This is the Prince Harry you've never heard about before. Published in celebration of his 30th birthday, this is the story behind the tabloid stories. The Prince who has the power to make or break. The maverick Prince, who is brilliant, impetuous, and unpredictable. The Prince who with his unique talents, charm, and bloody-minded determination is changing lives across the world. But the Prince who could, in a moment of madness, bring it all crashing down.

The author narrated this book. I found her continual emphasis of words extremely irritating. In my opinion the audiobook would be an easier listen if a professional narrator had taken the role.
Having said that I enjoyed the content which was an insight to Prince Harry and his works albeit in the style of hero worshipping ...... putting that to one side, it was an interesting listen.

My Story is Tula's candid thought-provoking, enlightening, humorous, heart wrenching, and motivational account of her struggles: her troubled childhood being bullied and taunted in East Anglia, her dreams of becoming a woman, the operations that liberated her sexually, and the journey from showgirl to James Bond girl to top international model.

Having never heard of Caroline Cossey nor having given any thought to the issues faced by trans sexuals prior to listening to this audiobook, I'm not quite sure how I came about purchasing it!!!! ..... but I'm so glad that I did. The narrator did an excellent job of relating this succesful lady's tale of her struggles and successes of which she has had both in abundance. Caroline Cossey's career alone would have been enough to fill a quality book but her story is deeply enhanced by her family relations and her individual fight.
Be prepared for a thought provoking and emotional listen.
Good luck to Caroline! x

As an experienced ELT teacher, I thought I should review this audiobook for my students. There is so much IELTS material available to buy, that how does a student know where s/he will get good value for money? The choice is overwhelming.

This audiobook runs through the differences between the three speaking tests....nothing new there, many books do that... but this one is audio (obvious, I know!) hence has an added advantage of listening practice for an IELTS student. It brings the lesson to life and feels quite real, as opposed to the black and white print of 'yet another' theoretical "How to pass an exam" book. The teacher corrects the student's (minor) errors, and gives feedback on which mistakes are of little concern to the examiners and which are to be avoided, at all costs. The teacher gives excellent tips to the student about structuring answers before speaking in the IELTS test. The teacher provides a formula for success at IELTS.

I liked the relaxed style of the speakers (teacher and student). The rapport was natural. One could hear the student learning throughout the audiobook "lesson" and of course, there was the added advantage of being able to listen to a dialogue, on a familiar topic - absolutely ideal for IELTS candidates.... A student would get a lot of benefit from listening to the audiobook several times.

I think that anyone taking an IELTS speaking test will benefit from this audiobook; regardless of the level that they aspire to achieve. The cost of the audiobook is extremely reasonable when one considers the lessons learned within the audiobook and then compare this with the cost of lessons in a regular IELTS course at a language school.

As a result of listening to this audiobook, I have bought all of the other IELTS books in the series and I will be recommending the audiobook series to my students.

Absolutely loved this audio book.... but alas, where are the sequels?
The author uses characters who are full of human faults. She describes them in such detail that one needs to know more. The setting is very 'pleasant' and the description of the war heroes has depth.
If the sequels were available I for one would continue to buy the series.

In my opınion, the storyline is not as good at Pengarron Land, the first in the series but the author describes the characters in such depth that it was good to hear how some of the characters develop and hasn't deterred me from buying book 3 in the series. There are still unfinished storylines and I want to know what comes of some of the characters.
