I love trees, but now I actually know something real about them! Wow, what a wonderful book this is. It will literally give you new eyes! You will think now that you have never really seen or appreciated the woods before you read this beautiful book.

Good, but overproduced and overhyped

I enjoyed the book and story overall, but thought the music was a bit laboured and overdone. Less would have been much more, in my opinion. The cast was good, but also a little too dramatically read in parts for my taste. The story was interesting, but I expected a bit more of the plot - it was still thought-provoking, just not too drawer, in my view, and missed a few tricks.

Well worth reading

This book really helped my approach to parenting. Whilst not without its imperfections (it's could be more succinct, and her child's voice is quite annoying), it is nonetheless an insightful examination of a more positive parenting style. Would wholeheartedly recommend!

This made me laugh! It is a charmingly silly romp through modern society and politics.

Repetitious and corny perhaps, and definitely grating in places (perhaps because I'm English and can't abide the mega-keen, overfamiliar and effusive yank style of writing and declamation) but the basic ideas are sound and any parent would be wise to hear her out. I have learned much from this book and it has reshaped my thinking and understanding a great deal - would definitely recommend.

I really enjoyed some aspects of this book, but it is unsubstantiated in many areas.

Well worth the time! Has improved my Swedish considerably, would definitely recommend. A good resource suitable for beginner to intermediate level.

Great book, terrible recitation

I would have enjoyed this book - which I thought was highly informative and mind-expanding, if a tad rushed and slightly inaccurate in places - hugely if the narration had not been robotic, monotone, and tedium-inducing almost to the point of tears. Frankly, I cannot understand why the narrator has a job as a voice actress. It may as well have been read by a computer. What a terrible shame and waste of time - I would have much preferred to have read it instead.

Well read, although some stumbles which should have been edited out. Content was OK, language quite well pitched for A1, but the stories are pretty vacuous, in my opinion! Also lacking somewhat in the structured repetition of key words - a bit of an information overload in my view, would have been better with more reinforcement and clear scaffolding. That said, it is still a useful, if frustratingly bland, resource for intermediate German language learners.

Don't miss this book!

A great introduction to the modern political history of China. Baum is both erudite and engaging, and this book will no doubt become a classic.
