Sequel to the extraordinary The Name of the Wind, The Wise Man’s Fear is the second instalment of this superb fantasy trilogy from Patrick Rothfuss. This is the most exciting fantasy series since George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire and a must for all fans of HBO's Game of Thrones.

Rarely do you hear a book as long as this but find that you fear it’s coming to an end. I love this series. The narration is sheer perfection and the story will stay with me for many years. A pleasure to listen too.

I have stolen princesses back from sleeping barrow kings. I burned down the town of Trebon. I have spent the night with Felurian and left with both my sanity and my life. I was expelled from the university at a younger age than most people are allowed in. I tread paths by moonlight that others fear to speak of during day. I have talked to Gods, loved women, and written songs that make the minstrels weep. My name is Kvothe. You may have heard of me.

This book is brilliant! It is incredibly well narrated by Rupert Degas. I've had audible books for many years and this is by far the best one I've ever listened to. I put off buying this book for a long time because of the sheer length of the story but the reviews convinced me to try it and I'm so glad I did. The Name of the Wind is one of those books that you don't want to end. Luckily there's a sequel!

This is my favorite of all Lucy Diamond's stories. The characters were brilliant and I found I couldn't stop listening. The narrator brought the story to life and her different accents and voices for the children were exceptional. My fave audible in a long while!

To date, this is my favorite audiobook. It is all due to the tremendous narration by Laura Kirman. Her ability to use different tones to depict each character helped to bring the book alive in my mind. I only hope to find another book as well written and narrated. I look forward to a sequel!
