I had never read Linda Green before, but everything about this book is recommended. The characters really came to life, thanks to the excellent narration. I finished it less than 12 hours after purchase, just couldn't stop listening, and have bought 2 more by this author since.

Sandra Pankhurst founded her trauma cleaning business to help people whose emotional scars are written on their houses. From the forgotten flat of a drug addict to the infested home of a hoarder, Sandra enters properties and lives at the same time. But few of the people she looks after know anything of the complexity of Sandra's own life. Raised in an uncaring home, Sandra's miraculous gift for warmth and humour in the face of unspeakable personal tragedy mark her out as a one-off and make this biography unmissable.

I did not get on with this book. The synopsis sounded like something I would really enjoy, but the narrator droned on and on in such a miserable fashion I could not concentrate on the story she was attempting to tell. I did not get far into it before giving up.

Love Joanne..in Downton and as an audiobook reader. She gets better and better. Bit disappointed that she didn't talk more about herself, rather than the books.

first audiobooks I have listened to with multiple readers. I will be looking for more.
I found the book very entertaining, but complicated. I usually do other things while listening, but this took my full attention, or I became totally lost. much rewinding. Well worth it though, will try the next in the series.
Very well performed, you can't say read, by all the readers, but the attempted at stuttering from one character was a bit irritating, as if a blank space had been added after the production, rather than the reader doing it. This does not detract from the whole book though.
Highly recommended if you have time to concentrate on it.
