This is a full-cast performance with comprehensive commentary and analysis, enabling any student to fully understand and appreciate the novel. Orwell's political fable is told from the viewpoint of its key characters, the animals, who are quizzed and questioned about how "some animals are more equal than others" in this vibrant guided drama.

I think this audio book has wonderfully achieved what it set out to do. The dramatisation was particularly enjoyable.

I know that part of the world... and I know this one too. I found the book amusing and very original. A great companion on my car journeys. It was also pleasant to listen to, my ears loved the narrator's voice and I enjoyed the accents.

Delicious!

Hooked

Overall

It took me a while to get into this book - until about half of it, I wasn't sure, but I couldn't stop listening either. From its half to the end, I was hooked. It coincided with a change in the main character's life... so the reason why I didn't get hooked earlier might just have been the fact that I was suffering with her.

Also took a while to get used to the voice and accent - aspects I'm very receptive and sensitive to - but I found in the end that all fitted well together.
