Well crafted, violent, yet very satisfying. Superb narration. An emotional roller coaster will surprising turns of events. Even guessing the ultimate outcome does little to distract.

Too much boys own violence not enough real story

A fan of the Jack Reacher series. This one disappointing. Too many violent set pieces, not enough story. Does highlight the rediclous greed of the USA mainstream medical providers. Ugh.

Very well read / performed. Not sure wether I would enjoy further books by the same author. The label psychology exploration probably is a fair description.

Not sure who voted for this to become a book of the year. A strong female lead character good. Over the top comic scenarios. The authors imagination has been given totally free reign. Well read in the circumstances prone to indulgence and revelling in gratuity.

Great story, performance and listening experience.

Fascinating summary and report on a history of the understanding of intelligence. Very little to to support the title of sources of genius.

The basics whilst almost too simplistic are worth their inclusion. The advertising for blind alley research are understandable as a basis for claiming funding and building on a science to date basis. What is missing is down to earth more useful every day improvements beyond these basics. An example is the role of sensible fasting and increasing BDNF. Not a single sentence on Epigenetics. An interesting topic agenda too shallow in parts too academic in others.

Would you consider the audio edition of Sleep to be better than the print version?

Print edition necessary to look up references.

Would you recommend Sleep to your friends? Why or why not?

Not really. Although there is the odd nugget of useful information, it is mostly an ego trip for the author. Most of the recommendations are intrusive and impractical. The superking bed as recommended is really the equivalent of two single beds put together. Good luck with finding not only the room, also the bed coverings. Most of us do not have an army of globe trotting minions to follow our sleeping needs.

What does Nick Littlehales bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

I have little patience to read such a "manual ".

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

80% Boredom.
