Covers to much to fast
As someone who has a smattering of French I still found this too fast. Not enough time for you to practice before you are on to the next phrase.
Also takes some time to get your ear in and pick up the nuances of pronunciation - again progression is to fast.

- Narrated by: Frank Skinner
- Length: 2 hrs and 32 mins
Frank Skinner is undoubtedly one of the funniest and most successful comedians appearing on British screens. Born Chris Collins in 1957, he grew up in the West Midlands where he inherited his father's passion for football, a West Bromich Albion supporter, along with a liking for alcohol. Expelled from school at 16, Frank held various jobs, later going on to gain an MA in English Literature.
Abridged, what a waste.

Great story butchered in the abridgement
If this book wasn’t for you, who do you think might enjoy it more?
A great story well read but a shame not available at full length. Huge sections hinted at but not covered (eg marrage). No gaps between sections. Obviously squashed to fit on to a CD. If you are a fan do not let this out you off but why is the full length version not available.
What does Frank Skinner bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
His honest personality comes across.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointed at the production.

Life and Laughing
- My Story
- By: Michael McIntyre
- Narrated by: Michael McIntyre
- Length: 7 hrs and 44 mins
Michael McIntyre has become Britain’s biggest comedy star. His debut stand-up DVD, Live & Laughing, was the fastest selling of all time, only to be eclipsed by his second, Hello Wembley, which sold over 1.4 million copies and was the 2009 Christmas number one. He hosts his own BAFTA nominated BBC1 series, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, and won the British Comedy Award for Best Live Stand-up in 2009 following his record breaking 54-date Arena tour.
A perfect performer of a life - I loved it!

Good story - let down by poor sound
What made the experience of listening to Life and Laughing the most enjoyable?
An engaging story, but probably less so if you do not know north london. However this was let down badly by poor sound levels. Michael's voice level changes often and I had to keep adjusting the volume in the car.I would recomend as long as you are near the volume knob.
What did you like best about this story?
Quite an intersting life, his struggles to get in to comedy. He is a natural story teller. My 3 Performance rating is due to the sound.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Any additional comments?
Be prepared to adjust the volume every now and again.
