yet if there was one person who could make this up, you could be sure it was James Acaster. You could also be sure that of all of these scraps really happened, they would happen to him. I couldn't put it down.

this book was in a list of recommended reads. not my usual genre, so I had no expectations. absolutely loved it. the style, the rhythm, the variety of topics. to top it of, an excellent performance by the reader. top marks

I really enjoyed this book and the two readers perfectly chosen for the voices of this book. I particularly liked the intersection of perspectives, and the emotional journey of both characters. highly recommend this.

it took me a while to get into the story. had to restart it several times. but when you stick to it, it's actually entertainment. no real "wow" moments like in RP1 though. big reveals were so expected that there wasn't any surprise.. but i would still read Armada 2...

absolutely loved listening to this book. it is warm, funny, comforting, like having a friend in your ear telling you it's ok. and ok, is fine. listen to it!

Read it twice in a row! Philips Pullman true to himself, although the 2nd part was sometimes a bit too much in terms of mixed mythologies. Best villain ever. can't say more without spoilers. performance was good although accents were not always accurate to my opinion, but would still listen and read it over and over again !
