In a powerful new vision, Dr. Brené Brown challenges everything we think we know about vulnerability and dispels the widely accepted myth that it's a weakness. She argues that, in truth, vulnerability is strength, and when we shut ourselves off from vulnerability - from revealing our true selves - we distance ourselves from the experiences that bring purpose and meaning to our lives.

This book is a good source of a pep talk when you feel out of balance/stuck due to shame, humiliation, disappointment or guilt.
It is a listen you can go back to and there is lots of lessons that can help with dealing with situations involving self doubt that arises from shame.

It is however does not reflect much of the data driven research that you get in the TED talk the author did on Vulnerability.

On The Power of Vulnerability, Dr. Brown offers an invitation and a promise - that when we dare to drop the armor that protects us from feeling vulnerable, we open ourselves to the experiences that bring purpose and meaning to our lives. Here she dispels the cultural myth that vulnerability is weakness and reveals that it is, in truth, our most accurate measure of courage.
