I was sceptical when I first started listening to this but stick with it...
You will fall in love with the author, her friends, your own friends and yourself. Do it for yourself and read this book. You won’t regret it. I’ve accidentally finished it long before I wanted to and don’t know what to do with myself now! Languish in this and I wish I were listening for the first time!

Please get this book.
I have been suffering with eds now for over 10 years, I had given up hope and now I have hope again. Ive just finished it and I’m going back to the beginning.

If I can recover, anyone can and I truly believe I will now. I have just discovered that there is nothing wrong with me. Everything is right with my body and I am now going to trust it.
Good book. Good body. Good future.
Good luck and see you on the other side where recovery lies and you’ll be glad you bought this book. Xx

Just finished this one. Whilst not an action packed or emotional read, it was very engaging and interesting. It's made up of lots of stories of runners across the years and gets to the heart of why some people love to lace up and get outside whilst many struggle and dread every step. Well worth a read, well narrated and one I would pass on to another runner. Stick with it, it took me a couple of attempts to get into it and it's only in the last quarted that the author really answers the run/injury debate. It's infectious and the essential message is; be grateful for what's around you, drink in the scenery and enjoy the ride, ideally without westernised running aids like orthotics, specially designed shoes and over-thought nutrition. Learn to run and what's more, enjoy it.

A brilliant book that constantly surprised me with it's next direction. It went from a small individual's story to an all encompassing, world and all-age including story. Really makes you question your own beliefs and stand point with enigmatic characters and those you're not sure if you like or dislike. It's a while since I read it but looking over my library, thought I should add a review. The storyline itself is not clear in my mind since I read it over a year ago but I recall the impression it had on me was huge and was one of those books that lingered in my mind long after closing that final page.

Laugh out loud funny.

Painfully funny. Good characters. Well written and fast moving despite absence of action packed plot. Brilliant. Would recommend to anyone.
