ive been looking into investing for the last month now and this book was the best so far. I did a course where they piped on about etf index tracker being amazing - I still think they are good but generally 10% return over 5 years. I wasn't going to start with value investing as that part of the course was very technical. and even though I understood it the steps were way too much on deciding where to start. this book is kept simple and it is very good at giving you hints as to how finding companies to research in the first place. scored 44 in the quiz as well so didn't let my tea and toast distract me too much. thanks!

loved the book and the story about how Facebook came about is incredible. I suppose it felt like more drama than what it was because I'd seen the film and the book reminded me of segments. but the hacker mentality mark has and his believe to "be the change you want to see in the world" is inspiring. a lot of people say they would be like mark (long term strategies) but when you get your first few million you change your tune. he didn't which is inspiring as well.

As far back as he can remember James Corden has only ever wanted to be in one place: in front of you, doing something to make you laugh, cry, shout, or giggle uncontrollably. At the age of 4, he grandstanded throughout his baby sister’s christening, standing on a chair in front of the whole congregation, pulling faces and cracking everyone up. Despite himself, the vicar was impressed. And from then on he couldn’t get enough of the spotlight, even when it always seemed to avoid him. Throughout his teens, he and his Dad trudged up and down towards London....

there were a few bits in this book that made so much sense when Harv says it. I've read a few self development books but this one hit home with the messages. the most stick out advice was how to split up your paycheck to always save 10% and save at least something everyday to get into the habit. it's so true that the belief of when I am rich I will look into investing then is silly. if I'm not ready now then I am subconsciously repelling money because I'm not ready for it.
