On February 29, 2000, John Price took out a restraining order against his girlfriend, Katherine Knight. Later that day, he told his coworkers she had stabbed him and that if he were ever to go missing, it was because Knight had killed him. The next day, Price didn’t show up for work. A coworker was sent to check on him. They found a bloody handprint by the front door, and they immediately contacted the police. The local police force was not prepared for the chilling scene they were about to encounter.

I love this author, although i do find it a bit disturbing, how he manages to get into the minds of killers

I also find it very disturbing, the acts that one person can do to another

I was fasinated by this story, although there were a few times when I shuddered at the inhuman acts carried out

If you enjoy true crime you won't be disappointed with this book.

In July 1972, Deputy Sheriff Gerard Schaefer picked up two teenage girls, Pamela Wells (17) and Nancy Trotter (18), who were hitchhiking to a local beach. He told them it was illegal to hitchhike in the area and that he would take them back to safety. He lied. Schaefer took them to a remote wooded area where he drew his gun, tied them up, gagged them, and looped nooses around their necks. Schaefer received a call on his police radio and had to leave the girls, but he vowed to return and finish what he’d started.

I thought this book was about one family's struggle to survive a storm. While the family do struggle to survive, during a storm, it is not really the storm that they are in danger from.

This is an audio enhanced version - with music and sound effects - of a book long hailed as one of the great science fiction classics, H.G. Wells' The Island of Doctor Moreau. It tells the story of Edward Prendick, a shipwreck survivor who is brought to an uncharted island where he encounters Doctor Moreau, a mad scientist bent on experimenting with human/animal hybrids.

I found it hard to stop listening as I needed to know what happened next.

I felt a bit sorry for Kevin at the end, he was such a likable and believable character, although i could see the ending coming, I wish he could have had a happier ending.

I have yet to listen to a book narrated by Joe Hempel that I haven't liked, I think he is a great narrator

This book gripped me from the start. There was enough background given that I felt like I knew Ejaz, and cried along with his family when he was found.

It also sickens me to think that a woman, a mother can commit this type of crime

I'm glad they gave updates on how the people involved are doing, some books just leave you wondering

It is as scary as it is exciting: this is how most people would describe a paranormal experience. While others encounter it even when they don't want to, others search for the thrill, going so far as visiting places out of the country just so they can feel the suspense. Haunted forests, abandoned ghost towns, creepy creatures, cursed roads, and other paranormal events - all these things happen for a reason. Murder victims manifest themselves perhaps because their justice is still not achieved, or perhaps, they simply were not ready to go.
