This book was brilliantly written and read . It reminded me of the film sixth sense where you have to watch it twice to get everything . After listening once I was confused and thought I’d missed something . Listening again I realised what I’d missed . There are so many twists and jumps you can miss joining some of the dots . I will look for more books by this author

The main character seemed angry and bitter ALL the time . The character displays attributes of mental health dissociation disorder but even then people with that disorder are not angry 24/7.

This may be due to the way it is read by Anna Friel. I persevered with the book as the storyline was good but disliked the way it was read.the pauses mid sentence changing the time of what was being said, the way in which Anna sounded really really bored reading it or basically couldn’t be bothered. At other points especially near the end you hear swallowing and lips smacking so much it sounds disgusting and detracts from what your listening to . The more tense the story line the more swallowing occurs .the accents she tries are ok but not that good .

I recommend the book to read yourself but the ending was absolutely 100% disappointing and could have been so much more than it was - it was like she decided to just stop writing - maybe thats her style but I prefer loose ends tied up , questions answered unless it’s a series of books which I don’t think this is .
Overall I wish I had read the book myself rather than have the awful reading by Anna - may return it as I couldn’t bring myself to listen to that again

The book was geat until the last part of the book - the author dragged out the ending so much after you worked out who did it so much so I ended up fast forwarding the last half of the book . It took sooooooooooo long to get to the point I was bored. In the end I was right and the end itself didn’t make me want to read another of the authors books - I’ve read much better books and will get a refund for this one as part 1 was great the rest utter boredom drawn out storylines dragging every bit over about as slow as a snail - excruciatingly slow and long when relief came as I thought it was the end there was more in the end I fast forward to the end ... not impressed
